Last time i tried going to church i showed up late every time to miss the praise and worship.
For me personally public worship is too much of a distraction and too much pressure. That desire to "look spiritual" keeps me from being focused.
Also it begins and ends on their clock, understandably. So I chose to make it a private thing. I did it when I felt moved to, not because of the scheduled time. And went as long or short as I felt to. And no distractions or pressure. More sincerity and focus.
Not knocking it for others who are able to get something out of it, but for me it was just an awkward time doing nothing but waiting till it was over.

Sounds like you want a fast food church.
Welcome to McChurches, can I take your order?
Yes I'd like a $1 sermon, two small sides of praise and worship and a Kids Communion Meal. That is all. 😂😂
Just teasing. 😇
It seems like we both would like a fast food church, or one that isn't very rigidly scheduled. :)

I'd just want no p&w. Oh, and no "greet your neighbor". Always so awkward and fake.
Agreed. Probably one or two 3 minute songs to praise God, a few Bible verses (10 minutes), then communion (5 minutes), and a short 5 minute lecture. All that in under 30 minutes.

I walk with my head down bc I have to. I would run into a toddler, kid, or dogs ear. Legos, throw up, poop balls, there could literally be anything. 😆

That sounds like the Voice of Experience talking, aka A Mother. You got kids?

Yep. Stepping on Legos is the most painful experience for anyone to go through, besides being nailed to a cross.

I’m kinda on a downward tilt subconsciously, so far at times I appear to have a double chin and hunched neck while walking, honestly I don’t even realize I do it till I walk past a mirror.
1.I’m kinda clumsy and tend to trip over things, step on Legos, stub my toes, etc. 2. Such clumsiness was I think what lead to a bunch of harassment in my early life and part of what led to excessive self awareness, depressive thoughts and an overall negative self image. I’ve said it in other threads but there was a time if you could have heard my internal thought life it would have sounded like Eore the donkey from whinnie the poo. Then Christ came and the journey to healing, the battle for my mind and being set free is in full swing. 😊

I've had depression nearly all my life. Most of which I've dealt with on my own. I educated myself on it, and learned to spot the affects from it in my own life, pretty well.
As I've gotten older the frequent heavy bouts of it have eased off, but there's always that lingering of it that affects me daily, even interfering with my ability to function, in some ways.

I don't have friends. I have a gf in a ldr, and that's it. Where I live now, 6 months after moving here I vegan developing health issues. I've had multiple since, mostly keeping me housebound, or not able to easily meet people, hence my online presence.

Most of my health issues are permanent and/or repeating, and have actually lead to one another's existence. So no getting better here.

I do appreciate your response though. Still good to see people supporting others with mental health problems.
It sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I'd like to go into more detail privately. Can you message me so that I can introduce myself to you?

Luckily, I don't own any jacks.
I know a couple Jacks, but nobody owns them. This is a free country.

Somebody owns the local Jack's fast food place, but I don't know who the owner is.

I used to have a car jack, but it broke.

Okay our language has way too many jacks in it. You can find some in a deck of cards too.

Yeah, Jack the name, Jack the restaurant (Jack in the Box), hydraulic jacks, jacks the card suite and jacks the game. Pretty funny isn't it? For Joe, I only know of average Joe and a cup of Joe.

Don't laugh, but when I was but three, somehow I had a jack lodged in my throat putting me in ICU for three days... not funny at all.

Wow, that sounds bad. Also, good jack greeting. Never say the shortened form of "hello Jack" in a public space or on an airplane. Luckily, I don't say that, and don't have any friends named Jack in the first place, or any friends who have flown with me.

There's also a jack of all trades. Nobody ever says a joe of all trades.

There's no such thing as an Isaac-in-the-box either. Jack always gets the box.

But don't pay any attention to me... I don't know Jack.

Good one man. And there is also such thing as a Jack-[not gonna say], such as Elon Musk sometimes. ;)
