It will be very soon. But, expect the unexpected. Like when Jesus came the first time, it was not what the Jewish leaders of that day expected. Now when we look forward to Jesus's soon arrival. It might not be the way we expect.

We should expect it like this:

2 Thessalonians 1:

6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

In other words, if Jesus "shows up" in any way other than this - "it ain't Jesus"...

NO …. Nobody knows when. There is no prophecy or signs given us as to when Christ returns (in the air) for the Church of God …the body of Christ…

We may hear … a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God. But since this all happens in the twinkling of eye …not much notice.

2 Thess 2:1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him

Do you know when???
A thief in the night arrives when Nono e expects him to arrive

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The bibles language communicates principles and messages fornus to grasp ahold of. No one on earth knows when since Paul’s day they said “ soon “ tomorrow next week next year ….many have been sure but no one ever been right by thier predictions

If today we will receive him the. When becomes less of a matter because eternity is not within times limits and measures could be tonight , could be ten thousand years from now , but he is coming

I will up the ante! When Yeshua said he didn't know. Do you believe this? Or was he teaching as a parable?

Are you talking about Matthew 24:36 -But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

I was taught that Jesus was talking about His second coming, with the saints.

Revelations 19:11 -Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

Luke 10:22
All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

I'll be the monkey with the wrench...

Most of the books of the NT were written in the three decades prior to 70 AD (let's ignore the debate on the dating of Revelation for the moment). The Jewish "world" came to an end with the destruction of the temple at the hands of the Romans in that year. The Romans destroyed Israel. Most of the ethnic Israelites in the land who were not killed were sent into slavery.

Whatever else you believe about the fulfillment of the end-time prophecies, you must surely see that "very soon" makes perfect sense if it meant within the lifetime of their initial audience, whereas a gap of around 2,000 year does not make sense.

2Peter 3:3-4
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Are you accusing me of "walking after my own lusts?"

Fortunately, I remain unafflicted by the commonplace malady of a total failure to comprehend Biblical prophecy as it relates to present day observations. In other words, I do in fact heed Biblical warnings with great gravitas.

BTW......the "seven times" judgment has ended. Israel has swung way right/ultra orthodox/religious and is certain to rebuild the "tribulation temple". Guaranteed. 70th week of Daniel is.....inevitable. And soon.

How can Omniscient God NOT know anything. Reassess your position as regards that verse.
The Jewish wedding pattern is what is being represented there.

I would agree as I understand the jewish wedding anlogy. I also understand if I wanted to know what the Father knows to look in the Old Testament, age and ministry of the Father

How can a Omnisicient God not know everything
I believe that when God the Son became human, he chose not to access or exercise every prerogative and capability that he had due to his divinity. So it could be said truthfully that in the context of his humanity during his earthly life, he did not know such things, even though he did and does know it in his omniscient divine nature. Philippians 2:5-11 is a good text to ponder.
