Peaceful people protesting lockdowns and mandatory vaccinations (over a fake virus) are shot with by police with rubber bullets, irradiated, and trampled on by police horses in 2021, because Australians gave up their gun rights in the 90s (by an obvious false flag).

If this is your definition of satisfaction, even a rape victim can be said to be "satisfied" if she keeps quiet so as not to be murdered. A government is a necessary evil, and so should be limited in the extent of it's power. The people's right to bear arms limits a government's power and the abuses that stem thereof.
I’m not familiar with the gun legislation in Australia. Is it really true that Australians can’t own a gun legally?

As much as a legal document can, yes it does.
That's the point. It's simply a document. Unless it is followed, you have no rights. Without a means to enforce it, it's just a piece of paper. Without the 2nd Amendment, all the other Amendments become moot.

“The 2022 Firearms Registry Performance and Data Report – which you can read here – has been released and shows that, as of 28 August, 2022, there were 248,055 licensed firearms owners in NSW – up 2,495 from December 2021.5 Oct 2022”

This sounds serious!

Can you please describe the gunman responsible for forcing you to click on, and then read political threads that have or will upset you so much?

Oh, and nice job announcing your departure, trying to sound noble, while simultaneously getting in all the political digs you want!
Well done!
Well, I have autism, so I didn't know that this post came out this way

Guess what, it's politically toxic just about everywhere. Thanks for being honest and yes politics is getting synonymous with hatred. With China aligning with Russia, No Korean and I'm sure Iran, time is short to be lights in this world✨
Agreed 100%. We will be closer to meeting Jesus than ever before.

If God came down in a cloud, and told me to social distance:
- I'd say why 6 feet and not 6.5 feet?
- Does the virus know? Does it carry a tape measure?
- How does the virus know to stop at exactly 6 feet? How does it do that?

And do you know what God would say?

He wouldn't say anything, because he'd never tell us to do something stupid in the first place.

Why?

Because the God of the universe isn't stupid.

Rather, God tells us in 1Thessalonians 5:12 to "test" and "prove" all things.
This means we should not be gullible, but look for evidence, and facts, and use the reasoning God gave us when made us in his image.
God commands us to use our brains, and look for truth and evidence, and PROVE things out.

I wasn't being sarcastic to pick on you, I was just doing it to make a point.
Hope you have a great week.

.
Yep. God would tell us to use our best judgement. I don't measure feet either, but during distancing, I tried staying a few paces from people. If it wasn't possible, I didn't fret. He doesn't measure stuff in feet, but in how well we treat others and respect his creation. I hope you have a wonderful week also. :)

It's getting harder and harder. People essentially need permission from the government, but the government doesn't accept potential tyranny by itself as a valid reason for granting a permit. An acceptable excuse for obtaining a permit might be one lives on a farm and needs to shoot some pesky kangaroos that are eating all the sheep's grass, but I understand government is even tightening up on that. Automatic weapons were outlawed with the false flag attack in Tasmania back in 1996.

It's surprising how powerful words are. I'm reminded of Christians who claim we're supposed to bend over for crooked government and basically let it rape us, and justify their serious error by quoting the passage from Romans. The 2nd amendment destroys such erroneous but dangerous arguments. The highest law in the land basically telling We the people that we have the legal right to oppose tyranny with guns, if it becomes necessary.

Loophole allows Private Arsenals

However there is a serious loophole in Australia’s firearms laws that is being exploited by some gun owners so that they can accumulate dozens and dozens, and in some cases hundreds, of guns. Gun owners can endlessly recycle the same “good reason” to get their first gun and then their second gun, their tenth gun and their 300th gun.

This lack of rigour in the law has allowed 100 citizens in NSW to have more than 70 guns each. There are dozens of people in ordinary suburbs and towns who quite literally own private arsenals. The community expects that our firearm laws will put reasonable limits on the number of guns people can own to prevent the build-up of private arsenals in the community.

Hi SanderB, hope you had a great weekend.
I want to mention a few things we should all keep in mind.

You said, "He (God) doesn't measure stuff in feet, but in how well we treat others and respect his creation."

1. I agree these are important.

2. However, this requires we first have definitions for these terms - and people have different definitions.

3. In order to "treat others well", we first need definitions for that, and in order to "respect creation" we need definitions for that.

4. If we are to "treat others well", we should be concerned with others' safety... but how do we define this safety?
This definition REQUIRES that we first KNOW which things are, and are not, genuinely unsafe. However, we live in a world so driven by politics and propaganda, that these necessary facts have become very unclear.

- Please keep in mind, many tyrannical governments, in the past, have used "public safety" as the reason for MOST of their tyranny. They have literally used those exact words, "public health" and "public safety", as the excuse for atrocities. If we read some history, we find this all over, including with the Nazis.
- So the mere USE of terms like "public health" and "public safety", simply cannot be taken at face value... not if we are to learn from history.
- We need to look at data, and facts, and evidence... and give some real thought to how these terms are being used, and defined.

5. If we are to "have respect for creation", this requires that we can define this respect, and have facts and evidence to know when it is, and is not, occurring... but the facts and evidence are very controversial, and disputed.
- We live in a world so driven by politics and propaganda, that all the facts surrounding these issues are very unclear.
- We even have facts, evidence, and opinions that are censored... so that we can't even hear them.

Conclusion:
- I agree, as do most, that we should treat others well, and respect creation -
but this REQUIRES that we first have definitions for the terms, and it REQUIRES we also have facts and evidence to determine when we genuinely cross the lines.
- We all have very different definitions for these terms, and we have a great dispute (even censorship) around the facts and evidence.
- Simply stating a truism, like "we should all treat each other with respect", does not resolve the problems.

I believe you have nothing but good intentions.
But even with good intentions, we are still left with a lot of serious issues to sort out.

God Bless.

Hello folks. I have enjoyed this site since 2018, but will be taking a hiatus from here starting 1/1/2024 as this site has become politically toxic since 2021, especially from far right folks on here, and the election cycle will ramp up in 2024. Just going to say this, our current president hasn't done much, but Trump was toxic and had some unchristian ideals. I will not debate anything here, as debates lead nowhere. I may return in 2025, but hanging out with real friends in 3D is much better than hanging out on a forum. Touching grass is better than touching a keyboard. :) God bless, and take care. Sayonara Trumpers.

For reference, I'll still be on here until 12/31 of this year.

- Alex B.
No need to leave. Please stay.

Just don't get involved in the discussions that involve politics.

This is the verse that comes to my mind:

Daniel 4:17
“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.”

I think I'm going to leave too. Every time I politely give my opinion here, there always seem to be people that don't agree with me and I've just had enough. I have the best, and only, valid opinion and just can't stand it when others have a different outlook and feel the need to share it on the same thread I'm giving my opinions. They think they can come post their stupid opinions on the same thread as my perfect and super smart opinion and it just makes me so triggered that I need to just take forever off too. This is a great idea, I am just going to cut of any people/info/ideas/places where I might run into anything I disagree with. Holla, free at last, free at last, free at last.

Is this sarcasm, or the actual truth? I can accept others opinions, but there is bickering on this site.

I agree with you, but it can become too much. Even in non political threads.

I don't get the point of posting a thread saying you're leaving the site in a couple months.
A few days before, sure. But months ahead? Seems a ploy for attention more than anything.
