That's not what Trump said though. In fact he hasn't said yet what he would support. I'm no fan of Nikki, but what I don't want is someone making a "promise" to get a vote then come to find out it can't be done. I'd like to see abortion done with but I know that can't happen. What can realistically be done? Don't blow smoke.
He said he'd negotiate. That means it isn't zero. I won't vote for pro-aborts. This should be left to the states.

Did you mean to say something?
There has been a remarkable correlation between Jehu and Trump prior to this day, so I think we should be reminded of this little bit of subterfuge that Jehu used against the worship of Baal.

DeSantis passed a 6 week bill in Florida. Does anyone have a problem with that?

It should be left to the states to regulate.

But to Trump's point, he isn't talking about how he feels personally. He is expressing a political stance. And it's because the country isn't ready to commit to outlawing abortion. But there is a unique opportunity to get a national band at 15 weeks. This is a far cry better than what exists currently. And it can be written so that individual states can go lower if they desire. Politically, this is a huge win and it will save untold lives. It doesn't mean the issue cannot be revisited later.
There are not and will not be 60 votes in the Senate for that. It should be left to the states.

It's not only unremarkable, but a bad comparison. I voted for Trump in 2020, because he did more to further the Christian cause than any other President in my lifetime. Now he seems to be trying to play the middle, which is what I expected in his first term.

"prior to this day" jumps right out in a discussion where he is putting on his left turn signal.... I'm meaning the things he said the last few days...

That's true but you will at least begin the conversation of at how many weeks do Democrats want. This would give the issue to Republicans because the American people aren't ready to outlaw abortion but most don't want abortion without limits. I believe when Democrats are forced to answer the question abortions until when? we will find most Americans are in favor of a more conservative timetable for abortion.

There are many American people who are ready to outlaw abortion. I think you will see the same with the representatives, we'll be able to see who the phonies are and who the genuine believers are.

It's a bit like politicians playing doctor when they have never went to medical school,,,

In my heart I'm rather far right on the issue but I confess it's because I see the vast majority rather lax in the issue of planed marriage and child births. That said though if there was an women, the mother of three, ages 14 months ,three and five about to give birth to her fourth child and the doctor was faced with the decision that he would not save both but maybe one between the mother or child. Now if he saved the child he or she would grow up with their siblings but with no mother. Again if he saved the mother then the other three would grow up with their mothers influence in life. The question is though did that doctor preform an abortion if he decided that he should save the mothers life at that time? I'm not a doctor nor a politician though so I'm really stuck in a spot like where someones asking me if I would defend my family if a bugler was trying to hurt them, would I do it or not? I don't really want to make the choice and would just rather pray to the Lord I'm never in that situation. There's those who are just rather promiscuous in that they may seek an abortion several times(men play a part in this also), and then again there's just the average mother and father(and family) to consider in this. Again I'm no doctor nor politician and I really pray I'm just never confronted with this.

Actually, we'll find out who is smart. A Christian can believe abortion should be outlawed and still get the best deal available under the current circumstances. Wisdom isn't getting nothing at all accomplished. Wisdom is getting all that can be gotten, and continuing to make the case for more.

oh, I thought wisdom begins with the fear of God and ends with the Judgement seat of Christ and finding your name written in the book of life.

I don't think, as you allude, think through the choices as thoroughly as you. I don't particularly want to take another's life, but if someone attacked a family member, I would intervene. To what extent, I guess, would depend on the circumstances. But like you, I would prefer the aforementioned situation never occur.

Wisdom takes many forms. You gave a pat biblical answer, but situations require responses. Jesus said well that the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light.

No I'm not meaning you at all,, just talking out loud I guess...

I just think the whole abortion issue needs a better definition where we differentiate between those who work for Miss Kitty at the Long branch Saloon and those smelly wild cowhands and the average Christian family members faced with a rare medical emergency. Politics nor the media will have this though so they will always have it as an issue in every campaign. I think it's fueling the mindset where the youth see it as abnormal if they have not known multiple others before marriage.

That's not what Trump said though.
That is almost exactly what he said: 'Former President Donald Trump plans to negotiate with Democrats on the issue of abortion if reelected in 2024, saying in a Meet the Press interview released on Sunday, “I think they are all going to like me. I think both sides are going to like me.” ... He also declined to say if he believes unborn babies have a constitutional right to life and hit out at 2024 Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for signing a six-week abortion limit, calling the move a “terrible thing”:
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...-abortion-says-six-week-limit-terrible-thing/

Is six weeks "a terrible thing" if six days is too much for infanticide? Why is Trump attacking DeSantis on this issue? Why is he saying both sides are going to like me when both sides are simply a Uni-Party and there is no opposition to the evil of the Democrats? Why is he not saying that the Supreme Court has ruled that abortion is NOT a constitutional right, and then leaving it at that? Why has he dodged making a clear statement that unborn babies have a constitutional right to life? So we now see that Trump will turn out to be a watered down Joe Biden. What a terrible shame. Let's hope Vivek Ramaswamy replaces Trump.

He definitely put on his left blinker but I will never vote for anyone who is not Christian....

When have Democrats been forced to answer anything? Most recently several Democrats have been asked "how many weeks", and they refuse to answer, and the media lets them not answer.

The United States of America was founded on the principle of opposition to tyranny. Hence the Declaration of Independence. Now that we are in the 21at century there is little or no opposition to Leftist/Communist/Fascist/Democrat tyranny. The "press" is colluding with the tyrants, while the Special Forces and Marines who swore to defend America against domestic enemies simply stand by -- probably because they too have joined the tyrants.
