The old man was put to death, so nope, just His now.
UNLESS... a Christian starts listening to the devil and decides to fall for the temptations coming his way and puts off the new man and puts the old man back on and goes out and does some sin!

Many who hear the OSAS peoples false doctrine claiming it's not possible to lose their salvation sometimes gets tied of not doing sin and think since the OSAS people claim we cannot lose our salvation .... why not go out and do some sin then!

This is one of the ways OSAS people causes others to stumble and turn away from the Lord by being a mouth piece for the devil. It's really sad the OSAS peoples ignore the whole counsel of God, otherwise they would know better but sadly they do not.

we SUBMIT our "will" to do God's Will, just like Jesus showed us, not My Will but Your Will be done.

what would have happened if Jesus did not Remain in God by not Submitting to God [I know Jesus is God, but this is serious here]?

and we are to REMAIN in Christ in order to do God's Will.

so, on AVERAGE, per any given day, how many times is YOUR PERSONAL WILL getting done over God's WILL?

the WILL that gets SERVED the Most, is who is [God] to them!
Uh, so in a nutshell, what’s your point exactly? Even the Elect have free will and an adopted sheep has become part of the flock, too. Am I off base? Sorry if I am.

Satan is a created being designed to Serve God.
but Satan opposes God
Free Will

Angel of God, so GOD is SPEAKING, says, Go, do [[NOT]] look back.
3 did not look back and made it to a cave.
1 did look back and became a pillar of salt
Free Will

i am just showing to Remain or Abide in God, we do it through Free Will, by Submission to Follow God's Will.

… but perhaps “they“ weren’t Elect. (Actually, Satan was a cherubim)

But hey, the thing is, all Christians abide on the Vine. They may fall off now and then, but they know how to get back on.

Nah, I don’t think so.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

this is so way taken out of context but also can be used for example like you have.

but this is the ANSWER to what the Holy Spirit is doing for us when we Pray and do not know what to Pray for.

26. In this way also The Spirit helps our weakness*. We do not know what we should pray for, whenever it is necessary, but that Spirit prays in our place with groaning which is unspoken.
27. But he who searches the hearts knows what the mind of The Spirit is, for he is praying according to the will of God in the place of the Saints.

...
^
then your Verse 28. so, it's really out of context here.

No, not out of context at all. A truly saved person has been called and justified. Will a called and justified person commit habitual sin/disobey? No. Read that passage again with an open ❤️.

What’s the subject of verse 28?
it's the answer to Verses 26 & 27:

VERSES 26 and 27 is about us NOT KNOWING what to Pray for:

Verse 28 shows us that the Holy Spirit [[[helps those]]] (((who LOVE))) God...
28. But we know that he helps those who love God in everything for good, those whom he preordained to be called.

Indulge me if you would, please post a few you have in mind so we can understand where you're coming from.
JOHN 3:THE BASIS OF SALVATION
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God...

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? ( 11:25,26)

Everything in John 3 is repeated in the first epistle of John. NOW CAN ANYONE SHOW ME WHERE CHRIST SAID "BELIEVETH AND ABIDETH"?

John 15:4. "Stay with me, and I am in you. Just as the branch cannot yield fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither do you unless you stay with me."

^
that unless you STAY with me you won't yield fruit and be removed from the Vine...<-- speaks VOLUMES

so, it's not just being Saved, but by STAYING with God, so He can abide in You!

Do not misapply this verse to contradict what Christ has plainly stated. What did Paul say in Acts 16:30,31 to correspond to what Christ said?

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

if you Believe you will Obey. and what is to Obey?

STAY WITH ME or ELSE!
