What isn't social in the first place? To define anything, it must be a socially understood as an actual word. If sex and gender were permitted to be whatever one wished based on the claim that they were simply social constructs invented by people, then age, location, sanity, species, and etc. could be social constructs as well. There must be facts based from observable and testable pieces of evidence else reality becomes a giant psychiatric ward and we are all its patients believing whatever is our truth.

The point is they want to say that sin is a social construct which of course means that God is a social construct and the Bible is a social construct. Which of course would mean that the apostles were liars and Jesus never rose from the dead. The only defense that Satan and his minions have before being cast into the Lake of Fire.

until 2012, when the medical guidebooks were changed, thinking you are a different gender than what you are , was classified as a mental disorder.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) — known as the "bible of psychology" — classified homosexuality as a mental illness. In its first edition, published in 1952, it had classified the word as a "sociopathic personality disturbance", and again in the second edition that was published in 1963.

I'm not sure gender dysphoria is a mental illness. A lot of young people go through phases where they question their own gender. Historically, culture tended to discourage it and helped young men and women to be comfortable with their gender.

Nowadays, the real tragedy is, the psychiatric community and a few transgender activist groups have started filling people with all kinds of absurd notions about gender and even a lot of parents are buying into it. It's politically incorrect to do otherwise. The dog truly is wagging the tail.

I believe it started with feminism diminishing role and definition of men in society. I still remember when it became "undesirable" to be a stereotypical aggressive male in the late 70s.

I don't believe homosexuality is a mental illness unless they say they were both that way. It is more an inclination like polygamy, incest, or beastiality, however rarer (due to not yet acceptability, but give it time) these are. Believing you are anything you are not is clearly mentally incorrect, unless you're playing some sort of game.

Not just the US. Canada is as bad or worse as is much of Europe. England police will arrest people for a facebook post for saying men are men and women are women. It's far more than boredom, it is an attack on Christianity itself.
