Gereja Kristen Kemah Daun Kelurahan Rajabasa Jaya, Bandar Lampung, Indonesia disallow to build their church even though they have fulfill the qualification to build the church. The village authorities (Kelurahan) have not given permission for various reasons.

Bandar Lampung is one of the regions in Indonesia. Indonesia is a Muslim majority country. Even though Indonesia guarantees freedom of religion and worship in its legal provisions. In practice, much of the persecution is carried out by governments dominated by Muslim officials and among Muslim communities.

In general, minorities such as Christians, Buddhists or Hindus find it difficult to build places of worship even when worshiping with their families in their own homes. There are always Muslims who protest and get angry when they worship in their own homes in several places.

It's a difficult position to be in when religious freedom is not observed. As Christians, we have a strong desire to meet with God's people to make much of God. And you should continue to pray for such.
In the meantime, God has purpose in all that He allows to come into our lives, and we can learn much in our private worship that will be of benefit to the body when this again occurs.
I encourage you to see your circumstances not so much as a hardship, but an opportunity for God to manifest His power more fully and for you to know Him more intimately.

The sad reality is that this kind of behaviour is completely consistent with Moslem belief. When they are in the minority, they keep their heads down and go with the flow. Once they become the majority, they show their true colours: restriction and persecution of non-Moslems. The solution may be to meet in private homes, rented spaces, or public open spaces. The Holy Spirit is not limited by human restrictions.
