My name is Warren.
I live in Southern Mexico alone in a small room we call here " quartos '. I have been here 4 years and minister alone. I am not part of any formal church or group, however, I interact with and support and teach any who claim belief in the gospel. I started from scratch, alone, in the pandemic. God has created many different opportunities for me, from helping the truly poor and sick, to teaching, to street ministry where I give away my art for free as an opportunity to exhort and or preach. Houses are close together here and it is easy to put bible tracks on hundreds of doors in an afternoon. I am not joining this site out of boredom. Rather, I would like to make myself available to share and encourage from my experiences. I am not poor and lived a good life in California. Now I live on about 250 dollars a month. The rest is God's . This was not a choice to show humility. It was a natural result of living for Christ first and foremost. The cares of this world fell away. I have learned first hand the meaning of "you can't serve two masters". We follow what we love, period. I have a varied history in bible study and knowledge, however, I have come to see God's word as true food. Not something to be analysed and discected so much as to be read and fed to us by the holy spirit.
I hope to meet and encourage all who have an incorruptible love for Christ.

Hello wsb!
That's quite a sacrifice. Very few are willing to do that.
What do your gospel tracts say?
What would somebody need to do to get to heaven?

Hi,
My work has become mostly exhortation. Most claim belief here. I use passages that challenge the belief that salvation is easy. I offer simple personal tests to help a person to see what they really live for. I would like to say that my lifestyle is not a sacrifice. It is a natural occurrence for those in the spirit. The sacrifice in my life is dying daily to the flesh. Physical comforts are very low on that list. Image, feelings of doing for God, pride in my work, these need to be sacrificed daily.
Thanks for your kind words.

Are a lot of these folks you deal with Catholics?
Hi,
The state of Oaxaca is made of many, many indigenous groups. While Roman catholicism and a Mexican version are prevalent, there are just as many other denominations and a whole lot of just plain old heathen.

Thank you for the response.
What is your personal take on Salvation?

My take is the gospel as described by the apostles.

Forgive me, but why do you ask for a personal take on salvation? We are servants of God's word, if we have his spirit? Our personal take is meaningless. When we begin these types of conversations, we lay the seed for the very apostasy destroying the church today.

Welcome to CC.

Do you believe all Christians are expected to give up physical comfort? I don't think giving up physical comfort applies to everyone...one perfect example is families with young children. The natural tendency and calling is for parents to provide well for their children.

To give up personal comfort, I think the only option is to move from a developed country to a lesser developed country. For example, in the U.S. there are no housing options like quartos, places without plumbing or groceries, or similar inconveniences. Any place like that in the U.S. may be in a high crime area or very rural area. How do you think people living in developed countries can give up physical comfort?

Also, a lot of immigrants move to the U.S. for physical comfort, I don't think that is being a bad Christian.

Thanks for the greeting,
I have physical comfort in my life. I have a bed, a table to prepare food, a camp stove outside, a bathroom outside. Maybe you are thinking of people that think we must suffer physically? If anything, I have learned how little we need to have comfort. The rest is really selfishness and ownership pride. I have lived both. I was successful even by American standards in the states. I don't care to judge or correct. I explain my life and the reasons for it because it is true, nothing more. Hopefully this will make things more clear.

I Just love your testimony.
God has called you for that ministry.
There are Christian’s here also who know that calling of God in their life, and are following that calling.
It’s a great encouragement to those who have a hunger for the word of God.
Keep throwing that seed of the word, in every direction.
God bless you abundantly.

Have you witnessed any miracles while you have been there?
Anything related to healings, prayers or anything involving the Glory of God?
