Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 21:6
And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment.

Revelation 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Most everyone understands the Omega portion of these scriptures but how many truly undertands the Alpha the beginning of God's plan,

John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God; 3 all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.

The Lord Yeshua ( Jesus ) was the creator.

All the scriptures came thru Jesus

Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
There are three more verses that should be included.

[Christ] Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (Rev 1:11)

And when I saw him [Christ], I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.(Rev 1:17,18)

It is important to note that in Revelation chapter 1 both God the Father and God the Son identify themselves as the Alpha and the Omega -- the first and the last. What this means is that the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING. Nothing existed before the eternal God, and eventually "God will be all and in all".

That word "hell" should really be "Hades".

But what did Christ mean by saying "I have the keys of Hades and of death"? As we know keys are meant to lock and unlock doors. Death and Hades do not have actual doors but metaphorical doors. When Christ locks the door of Death, it means that there will be no more deaths on earth. It is sin that results in death, but once sin is banished from the earth, the door to Death is locked permanently. And since Hades was the abode of the souls and spirits which died without Christ, the door to Hades will also be permanently shut. In fact since Death and Hades will be "cast into the Lake of Fire" (Rev 20), which means that both will cease to exist. That is when "everlasting righteousness" will prevail on earth (Dan 9:24).
