Come on Pipp...possum are not really that cute in person. They are mean and have razor sharp teeth.

I dunno...

My aunt Diane will swerve to try to hit one if she sees one on the road. No idea why she hates them. She says they just look unnatural.

Me, I don't like them but I don't hate them either. They never done me no harm. Never helped me with anything either.

They are a dumb creature and, like deer, freeze from headlights. Unlike squirrels, the don't dodge oncoming traffic. Perhaps they think they are hippos.
I'd do some alliteration about hippos, but Pipp probably has one in her garage, and I'd only get into more trouble.

I don't have one, but one time I heard some knocking on the porch and I opened the screen door and I kid you not, there was a possum sitting in a rocking chair like a dang human, with its hand in the bag of dogfood my brother left out ..it was eating a handful of dog food at a time like it was popcorn or something. It was so funny. When I told it it had enough and needed to go, it hissed at me and started to drool... lol nasty little booger. It was so cute...ish.

She must've thought it awfully rude of you to set out a comfy chair with a bag of snacks for her only to tell her to scram just as she was beginning to enjoy time to herself away from the passel.

That is a cute story right up to the point of hissing and drooling. At that point it becomes a tale about possum stew for me.

Just don't kill them in california. The great state of California will charge you a $600 fine.

Real conversation that happened between two neighbors:

You can't kill that! You're supposed to call animal control.

Lady I'm from texas. I AM animal control.

Didn't matter. The state fined him anyway.

Are you really surprised that the cost of possum is greater in California than Texas?
