When do you feel one with nature?

I was speaking with someone, who is very active with various outdoor activities, etc., and she told me she feels one with nature most when she is surfing and riding the waves.

When do you feel one with nature?

I can relate to this too. Nature is God's way of showing us His beauty and i feel one with nature in every moment. Every cloud passing by, the rain, the sun, the wind, the leaves falling or blooming, the waves crashing on the shore are God's ways of putting a show for us. Everything that we taste, see and touch shows God's glory.

There was a monk who used to praise God through nature and he wrote some beautiful prayers and blessings. If i find them i will post them here.

I have about 30 pages of this kind of praise to God which involves nature.

Seriously, if you mean when does creation cause me to consider the majesty of God a sense of awe of Him wells up in my spirit, that occurs on cloudless night when I look up. I feel much like the psalmist in Psalm 8.

We are to worship the creator not creation. Those that actually worship creation are making a god of it instead of worshipping our creator God. God created the sky, stars, clouds, sun, moon, sunset, sunrise, mountains, and bodies of water. He also knew us when we were in our mother's womb.

Personally I don't like feeling at one with nature. We invented houses for a reason. Nature has too many things that crawl all over you.

every day i work. i'm a landscaper. & in the winter, if enough snow fell, i'm on a roof removing snow.

When I am on a Lake or River fishing. Seeing the beauty of Gods creations. The fish, birds, trees, mountains, etc...


Also, when I am at the Gulf, or an ocean beach

I am not sure if I have felt "one" with nature, though I can see how someone can feel one with nature while surfing since they are directly interacting with (or battling) nature. Another example could be when one encounters a natural act of God, such as tornado, hurricane, etc. That's why some people want to stay and feel these events rather than leave (which they should).

My boyfriend took me camping and... Um... Camping is stupid. We go stay outside, then we do all this work to make it more like the inside, but it's never as good as the real inside.

We took a STOVE to the WOODS! We have a better stove at home. Everything we took with us was a lesser version of what we have at home.

It was like we were doing a cheap demonstration for the animals of how we live. "Okay so this is usually a door, but today it's a flap... Use your imagination."

Yeah, umm.. Nature is fallen and it is out to get us. This is why we build shelters and carry weapons.

I don't go camping because nature is still upset about the fall and looking for some payback.

Back in the day, I lived out of doors for three years, passing summers in the Rockies away from any campers. Now, the thought of doiing this again is totally out of the question in my heart.
Mankind, having been given the oversight of the air, earth and sea since Adam has demonstrated his full capacity in doing so. All that has been "prophesied" to come about is not the will of our Father, no, it is His perfect knowledge of just what mankind would do without having Him in mind. Remember this when any out there negate global warming, man's doin.............
All to many so-called believers are simply unawares that our blessed Father does not cause world disaster, but He does allow mankind to cause them all, fueled by his own greed. Pity!

Maybe feeling one with nature is something like this...
