TEMPLE......TO BE OR NOT TO BE....THAT IS MY QUESTION!!!!!

The debate is vast among believers on the subject of a 3rd temple in Jerusalem.
For the record, I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE WILL BE ONE.....nor do I believe any such structure for the purpose of sacrifice I.E TABERNACLE will be constructed....
Many if Not most believers are watching for this so called construct to be built basing their end times readiness on that event......However, DOES THE BIBLE ACTUALLY SAY THERE WILL BE A TEMPLE?
[Rev 11:1-2 ] 1 Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, "Get up and measure the TEMPLE OF GOD AND THE ALTER, and those who worship in it. 2 "Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.
One of the clearest passages indicating a temple, and to be certain, one that seems to indicate a third temples existence. during the 70th week.
the structure described in the above passage, is a brick & mortar building...ruling out the TENT (tabernacle) theory so what explanation can there be? I believe that it is an illustration for John's benefit as He is writing the book of Revelation.
However, if we look closely, some clear problems begin to unfold in this passage........TEMPLE OF GOD......IF THE JEWS ARE SUCCESSFUL in Building this Temple, to be used for ANIMAL SACRIFICE, can it be legitimately called TEMPLE OF GOD? when in fact it would be sacrilege for animal sacrifice to be instituted once again. the benefit would primarily exist to be a home base for the anti christ, not BELIEVERS OR JEWS.... yet in the passage above it seems to indicate a viable TEMPLE with the purpose of GODS dwelling place....so what is JOHN seeing? I believe He is simply seeing the Temple as it existed in HIS DAY...NOT a FUTURE rebuilt structure. I'll Admit I don't have all the answers...but I do know there will BE NO RIGHTEOUS PURPOSE for a third temple....
I will show later...how if this 3rd Temple is built, it must also be destroyed AGAIN.....

What was the man made temple for ?

How can prophecy be fulfilled if there is no temple rebuilt?

It never was built to have sin forgiven. but it has a purpose. In this case. the purpose will be to fulfill prophecy. Because God said it will be there..

There will be many who disagree loudly with you, and a few, like myself, who quietly agree.

I think it will be built as the Bible infers. I'm just wondering how God will go about doing this given the fact that a mosque is built where it should stand.

But we've already witnessed so many miracles that overcame impossible odds! Israel is a nation again and the Jews were able to take back all of Jerusalem in the 6-Day War. What evil that men did to work harm to Jews actually turned out for their good.

So I'm actually pretty interested in how God will work this!

The body is the third temple.Before you are made a new creature what were you prior to that?A beast.In the image of another.The one who Jesus told the pharisees "you are of your father."
I've mentioned this quite a bit when talking about images of stone tablets,and mercy seats, that God created for his glory that are on our physical bodies.
Our brain is two stone tablets and it is also a mercy seat.A lot of people didn't like it that I've said that the pineal gland sits on the mercy seat.

When Jesus came down and dwelt among men,when the tabernacle comes down from heaven in Revelation these things relate to repentance and receiving the blood of Jesus.
When the tabernacle comes down from heaven,Jesus sits on the mercy seat.That's the Holy Spirit.The heart.The two cherubim on top of the mercy seat is the Word of God,The water and the blood.
If you are of God then you have his name written on your forehead.His Word is written on the two stone tablets in your head.Your thoughts are for God.The water and the blood.That's the tabernacle.

When you have the Holy Spirit in you guess what?He is sitting on the mercy seat.Your lungs are Two stone tablets so you can testify of his Two Witnesses.You are my witnesses says the Lord.You are living stones.Your feet are two stone tablets for your walk with God.Your hands are two stone tablets for his works.

What if you are not in his image?Then satan sits on the mercy seat and declares himself as god.the continual burnt offerings are taken away.Which are the prayers of the saints.
Your thoughts are not of God.his mark is written on your forehead.Your heart is not of God.Your walk is not of God.Your works are not of God.That makes you in the image of the serpent that was raised on the pole that Jesus took and he raised it up.The pole that was the branch raised up the brazen serpent as Moses as his witness.

I believe in this passage the HIM in question is EPIPHANES, who slaughtered a pig in the temple... and his defeat is where HANUKKAH comes from....The passage transitions into the future at vs 36......

Jesus rose from the dead he is the temple that God rebuilt ….they didn’t understand him

God already restored his temple and raised it up into the heavens

look at what Jesus and his apostles said regarding the temple of God

why does someone who has Gods spirit living in them need levite high priest to enter a man made building and sacrifice animal blood upon a mercy seat of Gold ?

The true sacrifice has been made by the real high priest in the true tabernacle of God

“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.”

God raised his temple already there’s not going to be a temple on the new earth Christ is the temple

“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.”

We don’t need a tabernacle made by Moses earthly pattern that’s all it was a pattern of what God showed him

But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”

You know what else is better ? The promised land

It’s not about this earthly land anymore that has been cursed

“but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

The inheritance is t anywhere on this earth it’s found in the promises of God the new things he’s been proclaiming for ages

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:

and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.”

The New Testament is about new promises a new creation ahead salvstion from the end of this creation it is t about fulfilling Israel’s promise God did that long ago when he gave them the land then they cursed it by breaking his covenant and all those hundreds of curses he swore came upon them


Israel was given Jesus and the gospel to restore them there is no other way coming he is the end and is salvation for any believer Israeli or gentile

Unless we want to negate the things Jesus did there’s no need for a temple again the priesthood changed , the law changed , the temple changed

“For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.”

I can’t imagine why God would have the Jews rebuild a temple that is not of use any longer and was only a pattern of reality anyways Jesus is the temple of God the flesh and blood of God

Personally I believe the fools WILL BUILD ANOTHER TEMPLE.

I might even see it in the short time I have left. And then the "Fun starts".

I hope they rase the "Dome of the Rock", and use the real estate for their temple - that should really tick off the ISLAMIC FOOLS, and get terminal things rolling!!!

but it will not fulfill the prophecy of a prince who will put an abomination hitch causes desolation in the holy place..

Yeah, the Dome of the Rock will be removed, but I think God will let some sort of battle come about that gives the Israelis the opportunity to take that location. In the 6-Day War, no one was planning to take back the rest of Jerusalem, but they did! That may happen in this situation as well.

Who knows? Maybe this current war between Israel and Hamas will make this happen.....

I agree. The prophecy talks about a very specific point in time, not just in general throughout all this age.

Plus it's talking specifically about the Jews making the sacrifices and not Christians.

Yup - 2024 promises to be an INTERESTING YEAR -

Of course it does. John was writing Revelation long after the existing temple was destroyed. And what did he write?

And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (Rev 11:1,2).

This chapter is mainly about the two witnesses sent to earth by God during the reign of the Antichrist. Hence "a thousand two hundred and threescore days" (1,260 days) which is exactly the length of the reign of the Antichrist's reign (42 months or 3 1/2 years).

More could be shared, but this shoots down your idea that there will be no future third temple in Jerusalem.
