You seem to believe in the existence of Jesus, yet your trust and reliance is in your works for salvation and not in Jesus Christ alone. You seem to conflate believing with works.
Jesus will determine that for us all. I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ enough to do them, instead of believing in Jesus Christ and not doing them. That is depending on our works, not Christs and called rebellion.

To believe in Jesus means to be live Him- we need to completely surrender and follow the example Jesus left for us.
LOL. Your own words prove the devil does not believe in Jesus!

Still, you ought not make up your own definitions for words now matter how much you fancy them.

James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

As I said believe in Jesus is a Big Word, but many reduce it to a small one. Belief and obedience are interchangeable in scripture.

Stop adding to Scripture. Please! Hint: does not say they believe IN God.

Your fanciful interpretations/definitions have God casting those who believe in Him out of His presence.

For shame! .:censored:

If the devil believed in Jesus He would not have rebelled. You are very confused.
What did the devil not believe about Jesus?
We are not told but i'm sure the devil Knew that Jesus was almight and was righteous, and just, and all the fruits the devil seen.

Today people can believe that Jesus is the Lord and believe that Jesus is the messiah but love sin more then Jesus.

As a result of loving sin more then Jesus they never commit to follow or surrender their lives to Him.

Baptism is a choice to be born again.
Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Many people believe in Jesus and know that He is the way of salvation but want sin more then they want Jesus.

Believing is not enough..
Faith without works is dead.

Quoting scripture is not adding to scripture.

I never said the devil believes in God for salvation, but he believes in God, enough to know God told them their time is short on this earth and they believe it.

You have not quoted Scripture when you insert your own words and then give fanciful made-up definitions.

Stop lying. Nowhere does the Bible say the devil believes in God. Gosh. Get your head on straight.

James 2:19 is scripture. Never added anything to it.

You remain confused. If you were standing at the gates of heaven right now and Jesus Christ asked you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your exact answer? Your answer will demonstrate what you are truly trusting in for salvation.

There is a critical lesson to learn from the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. (Luke 18:9-14)

It's one thing to believe "mental assent* that the death, burial and resurrection of Christ "happened." Even the devil believes that BUT it's another thing to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation. (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1:4) That is saving belief which the devil does not have and neither do those who trust in works for salvation.

Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

If you look up the word believe in the new Testement it mostly means "to have faith".

Yes and its all connected to obedience. Faith/love/obedience are all tied together. You can't have one without the other.

Here's a good example of that...that belief is tied to obedience

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Here John makes the clear distinction that believing in Jesus is related to our obedience to Him. Those who choose to do evil (sin) does not come to the light because their deeds are evil, but we are called to come to the truth (light) so our deeds can be exposed. This is what the Ten Commandments does- it shows us our sin just like a mirror Romans 3:20 Romans 7:7 James 1:22-25. When we bury our sins (stay in darkness) we don't confess or forsake them and therefore God can't give us His mercy and grace and give us the power to help overcome. Proverbs 28:13 Those who seek God want to come to the Truth so Jesus can help us overcome our sins. Our salvation is from sin Mat 1:21 not in sin.
