Romans 10-13 + Galatians 3:5~ Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you obey the law, or because you hear and believe?

It is obvious even on this forum that some people hear/read God's words/Word, yet they lack understanding.

I think that if people sincerely seek God (and not their own righteousness), God will give them an understanding of who He is and an understanding of His words.

Faith is actually listed as a fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. If you made the argument that the faith spoken of there is not the same as that in Ephesians 2 you would have a better case.

I understood I was unworthy before a holy God long before I had much of any faith to speak of...

And then?


Jesus' words in Matthew 17:20-21
Faith the size of a mustard seed moved the mountain of my unbelief .:)

What we do is always a reflection of what we actually believe. We can say whatever we like, who we really are comes out in what we do. This was James point about the relationship between faith and works. He wasn't making works an avenue of faith, but a demonstration of it.

It is too much. I just have to let things be what they are. And that is not always easy because
after all my surgeries etc nothing functions as it used to. TMI? LOL
