I often see little quips I wish I had thought of. Those things that make you stop and think. Saw this today and thought it could make a good thread. On the other hand maybe he’s knocking and expects us to open the door when we hear it

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

notice he doesn’t knock the door down or just enter himself but he’s at the door knocking making us know he’s arrived the question is will we get up and grab the doorknob and let him in

I would dalso say it is being freed of sin, not that we do not need Him as our constant advocate to the Father.

that's phunnneee! i like to apply humor to Christian lessons. here's my quip: "why do we plead, pray & pursue Jesus when we persist, play & ponder elsewhere"!
