I wrote a Letter to my Free Will

Dear Free Will. I just wanted to let you know how much I am thankful for you. If not for you, God would be in control of me. And that would, well, just be awful, in fact, it would be hateful of Him if He took you away from me. I don’t know what I’d do without you. I mean, I wouldn’t be allowed to freely feed my porn addiction, drug and alcohol addictions, and oh, so many more.

What I like about you, Entity Free Will, is that you allow me to make my life all about me, me, me . . . gosh, and that’s so wonderful. I mean, the more you can place the attention and focus upon me and not God, that’d be great. I don’t want Him to get any more credit than He should! I mean, come on! We chose this bumpy, up-and-down path of ours! Our successes are because of us, and our failures are because of us, too! Isn’t it something!? 😊

Most important, Free Will . . . you give me the right to be in complete, and total, control. I get to decide if God does anything in my life, and I decide if the Devil acts in my life just the same.

I'm not a Calvinist, but it's certainly possible for our good Calvinist brothers to defend their position with better arguments..

Hardly!
They will always isolate a single verse from an entire meaning of grouped verses and create a view that is manipulated and self serving.

So you're upset because, although I disagree with Calvinism, I wasn't mean enough?

We have a posting history and I know what you present in many of your viewpoints.
You ain't fooling nobody.

1.) I have no idea what you're getting at, but by all means, feel free to accuse me of... whatever.

2.) If it's off topic, please create a new thread for attacking me. Disliking me is probably not a minority view. So please feel free to collect a group, and make it a nice group project.

3.) However, If I don't respond to any of that, I'm probably just taking a nap... because it's all silly.

that was very creative, but it was also sort of brimming over with logic errors: straw man arguments, unproven presuppositions, appeals to emotion, conclusion jumping, circular reasoning etc. etc. etc. - all logical fallacies. Errors in logic.

Since God doesn't make errors in logic, I'll have to assume the logic errors came not from God, but from your own FREE WILL.



I'm not a Calvinist, but it's certainly possible for our good Calvinist brothers to defend their position with better arguments.

I don't know anything about Calvinism. To learn about that is to take a step backward from knowing the Gospel (more).
