What was even more interesting about my baptism is that a man wasn't even preaching the gospel to me when I was Baptised.I was reading the gospel according to Mathew.

Mathew done circled the globe preaching the gospel .
The word states everyone that believes in Jesus must afterward receive the indwelling of the Holy Ghost AND be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin. Since you say you have received the Holy Ghost you may want to pray about this. For the word says the Holy Ghost will guide people into all truth. (John 16:13)

I accepted his words.

Whoever believes in him will never perish but has eternal life. He who believes is not c on damned, He who does not believe is condemned already

Why will you not accept his words?
Believing in Jesus involves accepting His sayings and doing them. This truth is revealed in the scripture you refuse to accept as well as others.

"Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock...Luke 6:47-48

"For Jesus is the author of eternal salvation unto all them who obey Him." (Heb. 5:9)

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32

Yes the holy Ghost had led me to truth about this.I did not need to perform a work In order to be saved.I was saved by grace through faith, not by works.

I heard the gospel and believed and was Baptised in the holy spirit which came to me in the name of Jesus .

I understand why Paul was not sent to baptise but to preach the gospel.I have no confusion as to why.But there is much confusion in the churches that Baptise which is obvious by the many differing interpretations of baptism and the many differing performances of that work There are a lot of people who believe they are saved by performing that work.Ive even read of a church baptising for the dead so that the dead can be saved.Again, they use water in this ritual. They attribute that ritual to Paul as well from 1 corinth 15:29.Not many churches approve of this baptism but some do.

I've read the beatitudes and baptism isnt one of those sayings. If your going to quote Jesus referring to the beatitudes then you should preach the beatitudes.

.Jesus said to the apostles concerning baptism

Mathew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

According to your beliefs,
Are you commanded to go out into the world baptising other people or are you commanded to go out and be baptised by other people?

How many disciples have you made and how many people have you Baptised according to Jesus saying?

Burn, it's a bit strange, being saved is not done reciting a formula, do you believe this? I don't.

a rich man asked Jesus how to be saved, hear the Jesus words, the son of GOD has to say;

Matthew, chapter 19, verses 16-26 in the King James Version:

"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

Blessings
Man can't do it, So God by Son did it for us on that cross to us, to believe it (2 Cor 5:17-20) then see it and ask what more do I need Father? Life, new life in trust to God Father's Spirit and Truth (John 4:23-24) not of others y'all
The risen Jesus is where the new life is at. The death was to reconcile all as reconciled, forgiven to his Father for us to beleive and receive and see, being new by God for us. That is done on that cross for us, to now enter in with thanksgiving and praise and then ask for the new life offered in the resurrected Son, Jesus, then stand in belief to receive and be new automatically led new, at least for me, this is now what I see too, thank you for your post in truth

Well, one time I was a Case Manager at a prison and one of the inmates was going through a tough time with his family. So I told him that God could be there to protect his family even though he couldn’t. It led to talking to him about being saved. It wasn’t appropriate to pray there in the office so I wrote it down for him and told him he could sign it as a reminder. He came back the next day and told me he prayed it, and he almost started crying in my office. I also wrote down some scriptures on prayer and it was a joy to see him change and God work out the issues with his family.
That does not constitute a formula. That was, what happened and you got to see and see it and are amazed in it. God sees the motive of each and all people, always knows what each person needs to hear from God through willing vessels, that are willing to be used by God, the same as on Pentecost. What has happened since is: Flesh has snuck in, without a white robe.
So, please see this from Luke 21:14-15 and ask God for the truth to speak through you and even get surprised yourself, as you are by this person you speak of here, that is now saved by God, not anyone else.

Luke 21:14-15

King James Version

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

God, only speaks truth, I desire that only and am willing daily for God's lead to do and say truth through, me the same as Jesus did, who is risen for us to be new, by his Father approving us in belief as God knows who do and who do not believe God, not anyone else Thank you
Awesome, salvation this is "Amazing Grace" by John Newton, who was a slave trader and repe4nted and left that behind him in belief to God's love and mercy for us all to stand in
If , to get saved, is any other way, than belief to God in risen Son. Then we all are not saved at all
Believe God in risen Son for you. seeing you are a dead person in need of life. Ask, believe, receive

Wansvic's eisegesis culminates in salvation by faith + works (with a heavy emphasis on water baptism attached to a rigid baptism formula).

You’ve really made me think on this one, I believe that God saves us from failure. We as humans are gonna fail, and we need forgiveness. I’ve failed so much. Fortunately, I can turn to God and receive forgiveness from my failures. Sure I was saved on October of 1988, but I need forgiveness each day.
Amen .

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the term “ sin “ means something like “ a failure to hit the mark I was aiming for “

The issue is this

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So our sins lead us to death which necessitates salvation from sin and death.

“Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:21, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How can we die and fulfill this word that all sinners must die but not die in our sins ? Ad this be kept from going to be where he is who’s called us home ?

the sinners dies in the name of one without sin who took thier sins upon himself into death for them on thier behalf !!!!

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. ( the sinner has died in Christ for his sins )

For he that is dead is freed from sin. Likewise reckon ( believe ) ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-7, 11-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As we learn things like this and haven’t heard it before there comes a moment when we can ignore it or really consider and pray about it . The doctrine is of much value to begin understanding our faith and each brick it’s built from

It ultimately changes our minds which changes us

“if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:21-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

believing the gospel changes what we used to believe

Look gang, Again my original post was not a formula or cookie cutter prayer. It’s just an EXAMPLE of a prayer you could pray.

There are no threads on salvation, and a whole lot of confusion about it, so I put one out there.

Obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus results in remission of one's sin in accordance with the word, and has nothing to do with self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is attempting to adhere to the law in order to be accepted. Water baptism has nothing to do with the law. It is a commandment for all those living in the NT, and is an essential element of the NT rebirth. Jesus revealed this multiple times. Submission to the command is an act of faith. To refuse to believe and obey the command is to reject the very counsel of God.

Water baptism in the name of Jesus for remission of sin is part of the NT rebirth experience as initially detailed in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:38, Luke 24:47)

Is is sad to think anyone would compare obedience to the command to be baptized in the name of Jesus for remission of sin to filthy rags.

Clearly, there is no need to continue this discussion.

I am not a pastor. However, in the absence of a pastor I personally baptized one person at their request.

As to others, I've shared scripture depicting how the apostles consistently water baptized in the word and they saw the truth and submitted to being baptized by pastors.

Luke 24:47 doesn't say anything about water.

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
