I am not a pastor. However, in the absence of a pastor I personally baptized one person at their request.

Where does it say you must first become a pastor to preach the gospel in the bible?
Was Peter a pastor?

Was you sent to baptise or not?Did Jesus tell you to Baptise people in water?

Luke 24:47 doesn't say anything about water.

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Just prior to Jesus' ascension He made the statement that repentance and remission of sin would be preached in His name to all nations beginning in Jerusalem.

Jesus was actually prophesying of what occurred in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. He inspired Peter to tell everyone to repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus for remission of sin. (Acts 2:38) This is the first time that His name was connected with repentance and water baptism. Also, the same message was then carried to Samaritans, Gentiles and 12 individuals in Ephesus. These records prove the same command applies to everyone until Jesus returns.

It's not a rule, but typically pastor's administer water baptism. I certainly would not have a problem administering water baptism when necessary.

So Peter is the one who decided people should be Baptised in water.

Now I will explain how you are saying Jesus is wrong. These are Jesus words .

Mark 16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Now I testify, that I was reading the gospel according to Mathew, and believed the gospel.I was then Baptised in the holy Ghost just as Jesus had said.

But your telling me that believing the gospel and being baptized isn't good enough and that I would need to be Baptised again. You believe that I am unclean after being forgiven of my sins and you are testifying that I will remain unclean untill a Catholic priest or a different type of preacher puts water on me.
Do you not see the error In your ways?
It's as if you don't believe Jesus can forgive sins or that God can not clean anyone without the help of some preacher who is stealing money from.the church and cheating on his wife.

Acts 10;15
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

What God has cleansed. Not what pastor hath cleansed. Not what Peter has cleansed.God told that to Peter before God cleansed the gentiles.God had already cleaned those gentiles and Peter thought they needed to be cleaned with water .God even told him three times and no one gets it.You even think someone is unclean after God has (Baptised)cleansed them.

All I can say is scripture reveals everyone is to repent, be baptized (water ) in the name of Jesus for remission of sin, and receive the indwelling of the Holy Ghost as well. It's not my opinion. The scriptures reveal this.

Peter gave the initial command to the Jews, (Acts 2:37-42) Philip preached it to the Samaritans (half Jewish and half Gentile people), they got baptized (water) in the name of Jesus and a couple days later Peter and John came to assist them in receiving the Holy Ghost. (Acts 8:12:18) Peter and others were sent to the Gentiles with the same message. (Acts 10:43-48) And Paul preached the same message over 20+ years later, and baptized 12 in Jesus' name, and laid hands upon them and they received the Holy Ghost as well. (Acts 19:1-7)

I have to get off here for now. But would be glad to answer any questions or respond to your comments tomorrow.

Obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus results in remission of one's sin in accordance with the word, and has nothing to do with self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is attempting to adhere to the law in order to be accepted. Water baptism has nothing to do with the law. It is a commandment for all those living in the NT, and is an essential element of the NT rebirth. Jesus revealed this multiple times. Submission to the command is an act of faith. To refuse to believe and obey the command is to reject the very counsel of God.
No it does not

You are baptised because you recieved remission of sin. Not in order to get it

You recieved remission of sin when God baptized you literally into his death.

The law required perfection.. You better be perfect. Because thats what you are preaching.. You can;t water down the law and say only these works save you but these do not.

its an all or nothing situation

You have either works, or you have grace.. you can;t have it both ways

Is is sad to think anyone would compare obedience to the command to be baptized in the name of Jesus for remission of sin to filthy rags.
If your doing it in order to give this work to God and declair he saved you based on this work. Thats exactly what it is.

Clearly, there is no need to continue this discussion.
There never is a reason to continue, I just respond so others can see the folly in your works based gospel..

I gave up hope you would repent along time ago.. Although I do pray, and I know there is always hope

Well,I'm going by the gospel as spoken by Jesus Christ and have quoted his words.
I can't help it if you believe what God had cleansed is still unclean.Thats your choice.

Water baptism is a symbol for what you did. That way if the devil comes back and tries to make you doubt)and he will for a little while) then you can say to him “No. I remember because I was baptized.” He’ll stop making you doubt after awhile.

Yah, for the upteenth time..

Acts 2:28.. being baptised 'for' the remission of sins. As others have already posted numerous times..

This is being baptised.. not to get remission of sins.. but like being given medication 'for' the flu, it is because you already have it!

Don't know how many times this has gotta be said.

And for Mark 16:16--

First thing is this verse doesn't stand alone. So compare it with numerous verses about salvation that have no water baptism.
Second thing is-- as has been said upteen times before-- the opposite of Mark 16:16 is NOT true.

So.. 'if you are not water baptised after belief.. you are not saved.'...... This line is not true. The other part of Mark 16:16 is if you don't BELIEVE you are condemned. Not if you don't get water baptised.. you are condemned.

I can't remember the name for this kind of false argument people bring to bible passages.. of making the opposite of the same scripture true.

But the main issue, is where is the focus? On Jesus and His payment for your sin, or on getting wet?

Were Paul's sins already forgiven here

Acts 22:16
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name.’

You have either works, or you have grace.. you can;t have it both ways
Paul repeatedly uses "works" with

Romans 3
28For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

Because they mean the same thing here, and both do not include

Acts 2:38
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I know.Peope actually believe water washes their sins away.
As far as they are concerned ,Jesus didn't need yo die. They just needed to take z bath whole saying his name.
Clueless indeed.
That's not what my comment was about. You're still clueless.

Pauls sins were forgiven the moment he trusted christ.

Romans 3

Because they mean the same thing here, and both do not include
Paul also said we work for a wage or a reward.. So any work, not just works of the law. Done in order to be saved, would be a work to earn salvation

I was saved by Grace. Not of works, lest I be able to boast about saving myself.
Acts 2:38
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Read this in the greek

The gift os the spirit is 3rd person, it fits with repenting

Being baptized is second person. And is done on account you have recieved remission of sin, proven by the fact you recieved the gift of the spirit.

Do people who keep the law of water baptism also try to keep all of Moses laws or is it just this one?

Pauls sins were forgiven the moment he trusted christ.
If you mean faith alone (which would conflict with e.g. Acts 3:19 and Mark 11:26 btw)
Ananias is clearly accusing Paul of having

Acts 22:16
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name.’

Which should have already been remitted if one is baptized because their sins were already forgiven

Paul also said we work for a wage or a reward.. So any work, not just works of the law. Done in order to be saved, would be a work to earn salvation
Then are any of these done in order to be saved

Matthew 6:15

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.

Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away,

Acts 2:21
And it shall be that everyone who shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.'

Being baptized is second person. And is done on account you have recieved remission of sin,

You're clueless because my only comment was that your argument had reached "Godwin's Law" and it didn't take long for you to get there.
