Seeking a Serious Relationship , Any Single Women Interested?

Hello everyone,

I'm a single Christian man looking for a serious relationship with a like minded woman. It seems increasingly difficult to meet women who are ready to settle down and build a meaningful future together. Is anyone else experiencing this challenge? I'd love to hear your thoughts and hopefully connect with someone who shares the same values and readiness for a committed relationship. Blessings.

This would be a neat place to meet someone though. I noticed a couple gals signing on hoping to find their 'other-half' recently and relationships have blossomed here. I would advice them just don't come on too strong, have fun with it.

I agree with you but usually we can find love in unexpected places.

I am a woman but I have tried them. They didn't work. I even bought a lifetime subscription to one. The kept discontinuing it after a year. I gave up with fighting them.

Hello. Nice to meet you. I am a single, female, follower of Jesus. Early 40's. Looking for the man that would will follow Jesus/the truth to his death in everything, be it family, career, dreams, church, doctrines, riches, comfort, TV, hobbies, a good name, etc. - Everything!!! Must also be a being-match, that I can communicate with and be a good help-meet to.

So tell me if you are interested: What have you given up for God? How?

I can certainly attest to this...

1- CC isn't a dating site, just like a Church isn't.

2- Yet people often attend church for the "right" reasons, and while there, eventually meet someone.

3- However, when men go to a church with the sole purpose of "picking up chicks" and "hooking up", they're often dealt with harshly by those in charge.

4- Historically that is sort of how the admins have tended to view things around CC.

Thank you for the response and I understood your point perfectly. Me being on this platform doesn’t necessarily necessitate searching for just love. The platform is a good point in meeting like minded Christian’s which other things could come along.

But I might have bad news. I appreciate your answering my question and I'm glad to hear that you know something of what it means to die for Christ. Seeing you are a black man that looks to be younger than myself, though, something felt wrong. I started to write here an explanation of why I am concerned about potential age and cultural differences, but I couldn't figure out the fullness of what my issues with these even are, even wondering if I was simply racist without meaning to be. But instead of sticking with "I don't know," my roommate and I just now tried to press into the spirit of it. We independently both got the sense that God has a particular man in mind for me, and the problem is that your demographics are a clear indication that you aren't him. In fact maybe it was a blessing to me that your demographics put me off so clearly, because it made me realize that the best course isn't to should myself into putting myself out there if God isn't in it no matter what the demographics.

I apologize if I have given you a false start, though it seems to have been one for me too. Perhaps it will help paint a clearer picture for yourself also. God has spoken to me of my hypothetical husband for like 12-13 years now, but this is for me a clarification that the hypothetical is already identified to God. I don't know if every match works the same, and I don't know the fullness of what our role is, if any, in bringing things to fruition, but you can surly seek God for yourself on these matters.

When you say you are looking for a "serious relationship," how would you define an "unserious" one?

Judging from your profile pic, it's certainly not a matter of looks. I would wager that you've had women throw themselves at you over the years but are getting tired of that. It's time to settle down, you declare, and for good reason.

However, I would ask you to consider letting yourself get unserious, especially at the start. I'm not talking about going to bars or nightclubs to hook up for the night. I'm confident you could do that with just a wink and a nod.

No, I'm talking about taking things incrementally and working up from there. Start with a simple "hello" and see what happens. But instead of betting the farm on one horse (crude analogy, sorry), it's best to plant seeds in several spots to see who is "serious" and who you may have to shake hands with and depart from.

I know this may sound shocking, but I would encourage you to have a first encounter with several women at the same time. I would even tell you it's okay to meet for coffee to get to know each of them.


Simply put, telling a woman how "serious" you are can be rather intimidating. Instead, most women would agree that the dating process should be fun and exciting each and every step of the way.
