Hey Everyone!

As we wrap up the The Breakfast Series, we can't forget everyone's favorite carboholic accommodation -- potatoes!

Once again, this is a very polarizing and much-debated cuisinary conundrum that only our fearless CC audience has enough TURKAGE (combination of "turkey" and "courage" from the last thread!) to take on without flinching!

I'm throwing in several versions of fried potatoes here (even lunch/dinner varieties) because in this category, one can never have too many choices!

Choose your favorites from below and tell us why! (Feel free to include any others that aren't listed here.)

This is a subject to really meditate(r) on!! :)

Here are the choices (but tell us about any other not on this list):

Even a Galactic Enforcer knows the ap-peel!

All-you-can-eat potato buffet?! I'd be rushing there!

All are tasty, but I'd first go for tator tots with ranch dressing.

Potato patties (pic 2) without condiment are a close second.

Leave it to Rodney to turn what's supposed to be a discussion into an all-you-can-eat-buffet!
Maybe you need one more thread: to buffet or not to buffet; that is the question.

I am of Irish descent. Just hand over the potatoes, and no one will get hurt.

That would be my choice as well .:)

Coule we have ketchup and sour cream with that, please?

And perhaps some vinegar? Apple cider vinegar?

Fried, please.

When my dad was a kid Grandma would use her biggest pan, pile it as high as she could with diced potatoes, and they would still complain there was not enough at supper time.

There is room for other kinds though. Ever have a tater biscuit? Slice them, pan fry them, put them on a biscuit. Old southern tradition. (Well, we're apt to put ANYTHING on a biscuit...)

Sometimes I do the same thing at w*rk. I'll get a biscuit and put a hashbrown in the middle.

I dislike oily and fried foods. This is why I'm going to have to start the mashed potato uprising and overthrow the villainy of the tot kingdom!

Sometimes I'll put a pile of potatoes in the microwave for half an hour, or until they are soft when I jab them with a fork. Then I'll cut them open, scoop out the inside into a mixing bowl, throw in a LOT of butter and mash it all up.

Nothing fancy, but carb-o-licious!

You can't do this with tater tots. Just saying.

You missed an option. Crinkle cut fries. The best kind. Curly fries my least favorite.
Also a fan of mashed and baked potatoes.
I also dig tater tots and potato wedges.
And let's not forget potato soup. Yum.
Those little ones pictured are alright.
Hash browns are bearable but kind of bleh.
And now a fan of Darth Tater.

I forgot about scalloped potatoes. Just had those for my breakfast. It's been so many years since I last had them that I forgot how good they were.
