and catching up to 2023

(for the record, I absolutely believe that Biden is a figure head and not his own man. I have hesitated to state who might actually be running the show, but this is what you find when you will do a search regarding the true nature of the current admin. So, don't poo poo what I post...I am just reporting here)

We’re living through Barack Obama’s third term

One of the big questions in Washington and across the country as Joe Biden’s very public decline has accelerated is: who’s actually running the show at the White House? There have been various answers, including former White House chief of staff Ron Klain and former National Security Advisor Susan Rice; even Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff has been touted as having outsized influence. But the one name we ought to be paying more attention to is obvious – the man who cleared the 2020 field for Joe, tapped Kamala as his running mate and now hosts regular meetings at his 8,000-square-foot house just two miles from the Oval Office he used to occupy: Barack Obama.

Last week’s publication of an interview with biographer David J. Garrow by David Samuels in Tablet magazine went viral for a number of hot-button reasons, but this is the actual headline takeaway Americans ought to have for the piece: they’re living through Barack Obama’s third term. Samuels draws attention to this point particularly in the context of foreign policy:

The rest of the year, [Obama] lives in a large brick mansion in Kalorama. Doesn’t it strike you as weird that he’s an ex-president, he’s comparatively young and he’s living in the center of Washington, DC? The original excuse was that Sasha had to finish school. Then you could say, “Well, the opposition to Trump needs a figure to rally around.” But now Sasha has graduated from USC, Trump is gone, Joe Biden was elected present, but he’s still there…

Doesn’t that strike you as odd? I mean, I have heard from more than one source that there are regular meetings at Obama’s house in Kalorama involving top figures in the current White House, with Secret Service and cars outside. I don’t write about it because it’s not my lane. There are over a thousand reporters in Washington, and yet there are zero stakeouts of Obama’s mansion, if only to tell us who is coming and going. But he clearly has his oar in.

On its face, this would explain a great deal about the inconsistencies between the current president’s past approaches to any number of areas of policy — domestic, economic and foreign — but it would also particularly explain Biden’s embrace of modern wokeness as a trademark issue, despite not campaigning on it in 2020. It’s hard to imagine Joe Biden, marked by moderation on many hot-button issues in his Senate tenure, would so quickly turn to divisive culture war stances. But he’s done exactly that, without even an attempt to explain why. lookie here

To be honest there is a lot of so-called right wingers here crying when facing opposition lol.
well if you call posting facts from even left wing newspapers crying, it seems the country is doing alot of crying

it will be far worse if the left inserts themselves into a 2nd term

I do not see what you post there with any proof. it seems you might be just trying to get people on the defensive by saying something that is not actually factual

there are myriad posts from what you are calling right wingers with plenty of proof but these are not addressed. this is not crying unless a person reads the info and cries for the nation.

perhaps you might address the question why so many from the left are not going to vote for the Democrats? or don't the news stations you watch mention that? or perhaps you do not watch the news?

greatly deceived. it is a country in decline. I think you are just baiting and not sincere in the least
I’m telling the truth. Think about it. A country made up of 50 different states. Each state distinctly different. More than 330 million inhabitants. We have an income and freedom most of the world hasn’t. I think some people are just going to complain regardless. Maybe too much time on their hands?

I'm crying because it costs 52 dollars a can for my nephew and his wife to buy baby formula. Just formula. I'm crying because my aging parents are worried if they can now afford the home they're in, but they also can't afford to sell it. I'm thankful because my husbands job gave him two raises during Trumps time and that has kept us from having to give up our home, for now. Four more years of this, no, we won't be able to sustain it. And frankly I don't gave a da$% how the rest of the world is living, they have no choice in many places because they allowed Marxists to take over. THAT is why you don't want to vote for Kammy, not Joe. If you don't think she'll pull the country more radically left, God help us, I have some ocean front property. That's why I cry.

and the income is shrinking because of everything going up and unlike the pull of gravity, it does not appear to be coming down

but seriously, aren't you aware of how much tax payer $ has gone to support the millions of illegals? people are jumping angry in places like Chicago but look what they voted for... a leftist of extremes who is putting the illegals above the populace

people are not able to pay for their houses and cannot sell because they have a low interest rate and the new rate will break them....how is that complaining?

you thinking these things are somehow trivial is kinda alarming IMO....maybe it hasn't hit you yet? (shrugs)

the only people with time on their hands are collecting freebies from good ole uncle Joe and he is not even aware that is going on...

like I said though...your responses seem pretty facetious in light of the facts

I don't think anyone is going to vote for Giggles. I don't think she would be as malleable as the current misrepresentation of 'the people'. I also don't think toking up in the WH is a thing at the moment and it seems she depends on that stuff.

I hear you on the cost of everyday things. We have cut back and I see things I used to buy (foodwise) at 1 and half times the price of even last year! Our house is now worth over 3 times what we paid for it but thankfully locked into a low interest rate. It's crazy.

Or maybe it’s because I have been to so many s***hole countries and seen firsthand how their living conditions are. I’m not saying we should let them come here. We can’t afford that no more than the next country. What we need in this country is optimism and entrepreneurship, not handouts and more welfare.

I grew up in poverty so I don’t borrow money or buy anything I can’t afford. I lead a simple life. I’m renting out the apartment I bought in the 90s because it’s cheaper for me to rent a smaller apartment to live in. I also rent out my car when I’m not using it. I collect coupons and I have a small business in addition to my day job. I’m not sure this would have been possible in many other countries.

And it won't be here if we let radical Dems have another 4yrs. My husband and I met a man in Walmart. We passed him in the aisle and he said " I don't even look at the prices anymore. I know it's double what I use to pay". We stopped and he said he was a contractor, probably early 60s. He said " I do not understand why people won't vote for the man the kept the prices down on food and gas." He then said " This is coming from a lifelong Democrat. I don't understand why people don't understand and won't vote for him. I'm a Democrat, but I will vote for him if he's in jail, I don't care. I'll paint the presidential seal for him for free in the jailhouse!!" Neither of us was wearing anything to indicate we were Trump supporters, we weren't talking about him. Out of nowhere the man stopped us. We agreed heartily and he didn't say his name, but it was obvious. Not Maga, lifelong Dem talking about how bad things are and who he was voting for.

Marxists always promote the "helping the poor" sales pitch.

But their doctrine and goal is to make everybody poor. Less resistance to their sinister dictates that way.

No we should not just have that open border to the south and they are coming in through the north as well.

I also have a small business and have been praying as to how to engage better with it and have come up with I think, some good ideas. Mind you, I grew up with a very good work ethic and started work at 15...not my idea...but apparently a summer of leisure in between grades in high school was not going to be allowed. I can't complain though, because I worked at a family business. (my maternal grandfather's)

I think folks would be a whole lot more optimistic if they were not always waiting for the other shoe to fall. We live in the country and bought a house well within what we could afford...we could never buy it now.

This country has seen more than its share of entrepreneurship. But now, thousands of businesses are closing and more a result of the aftermath of Covid. I don't think paying bottom of the rung jobs $20.00 per hr is the answer either.

I had the same business up in Canada before I came down here but people are holding onto their $ alot tighter these days and I do not provide anything people cannot live without.

I appreciate you sharing some background.

I did not notice Biden filling his cabinet with oil barons or making pacts with foreign dictators, no.

Do you remember a verse about giving gifts to the rich?
Get a grip buddy.

The Bidenista business model DEMANDS when they take the bribes they assiduously AVOID filing (IRS), and make sure that nobody "notices" the underhand under the table influence pedding.

Their problem is that Congressmen ARE noticing. Bigly. So much so that criminal referrals have been issued the the DOJ.

I hear this more and more. you don't have to love Trump to vote for him. it irritates me when I hear people say they are not voting....IMO you have nothing to say about the outcome if you do not vote. The left makes the ridiculous statement that Trump will not leave office if he gets back in again. Don't fall for that lie. Its the Dems who represent that mindset.

Wal-mart is no longer the bargain it used to be. We prefer to shop at a local 'Save a Lot' and Aldi's when possible (both locations for us are some distance from where we live...Aldi's is my fav store for groceries) Wal-mart and Winn Dixie are the most expensive...when you can get the 2 for 1 specials at Publix those are good too cause Publix isn't a big bargain either.

It's pretty clear to me that the only reason the president's son was indicted was because the former president strong-armed RNC congressman into doing it, while he was simultaneously getting you riled up about politicians being unfairly singled out by the judicial system.

If 'weaponizing the courts' is wrong it's only wrong when Trump is the target, apparently.

You can laugh all you want but go look up when he started calling for the Bidens to be investigated. And then go look at who initiated the process.

The thing to key in on here is the duplicity coming out of the former liar in chiefs mouth and being faithfully parotted here.

Ooohhh. So NOT because he is a "proven-on-video-and-photographs" crack addict gun slinging nutter pedo?

BTW.....I have lately seen laptop footage that provides more than enough prima facie evidence to indict Hunter on pedophilia charges.

and then there is this

Texas Officials Bust Human Smuggling Operation Near San Antonio

Law enforcement officials in Texas have dismantled a human smuggling operation near San Antonio, rescuing more than two dozen people from “stifling hot” conditions on Thursday.

The 26 illegal immigrants, the youngest of which is believed to be 18 years old, were hidden inside a “false compartment” of a “long gooseneck trailer” for three hours before being transported to a rural shack. Temperatures were in the high 90s during mid-afternoon hours.

compliments of the admin that cares more than any other admin before it

Salazer said 11 out of the 26 illegal immigrants were hospitalized due to heat-related illnesses.

“Everybody is out of the woods as far as losing their life,” he said.

Officials said that it is unclear if all the illegal immigrants paid the human smugglers to get into the United States or if some of them were held against their will. But the sheriff confirmed that one woman in the group was identified as a Guatemalan national who paid $16,000 to be transported across the border.

You need to come to grips with the (cough cough) "possibility" that the human trafficking cartels are a business model and the cut/commission/kickbacks to the "right (***Big Guy***) type of people" are making a lot of people filthy rich.

Its all about the $$$Benjamins$$$ man.

And no.....they do not care. Not even a little bit.
