I wanted to post this thread to see if anybody else hears the voice of the holy spirit sometimes. I hear it like a supremely clear thought in my head that matches scripture every time i hear it. I also hear it in many other ways such as pointing out times im being hypocritical to the faith, or when i question what i should do next.

so im wondering how do others experience or have experienced the power of our greatest gift the breath of God the holy spirt. Blessed be the one who remains with us day in and day out and rejuvenates our souls, the power that rose him from the dead now resides in us.

Perhaps it is one manner for one and another for the other while the manner of the Holy Spirit is yet the same?

I know my own experience has been when I have been given to "open my mouth and speak," only to realize the new understanding given me ater having spoken it.

At times in sleep we also hear Him when it is His will. I know I certainly have no power over the Holy Spirit. It is always the will from above guiding us by Him.

So, I suppose it is what youhave already said about your own experience. God bless you, and my you always be guided by His Holy Spirit.

For me. I am in process and yet know, by. Have definitely heard and said and then surprised afterwords, many times. As I bet the disciples were also on Pentecost

Luke 21:14-15

Authorized (King James) Version

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Yes, I didn't grow up with such things at my childhood church, but the closest Christian college to my home was Pentecostal, and they weren't pushy about it, but one of my professors had us read part of a Christian book called "The Life You've Always Wanted," then told us to do a project on one of the chapters that could include any that we hadn't been assigned. I picked the chapter on hearing the Holy Spirit that had a ready-made suggestion of asking God a question and then listening for a reply. What I found was that each time I tried this, I could first hear all my thoughts rush through as normal, trying to guess at the answer, then there would be a pause and another voice would be in my mind's ear with an answer that wasn't from me.

Since then, I have learned both how to focus in and hear God's voice first, and that this actually isn't His primary way God answers me. I think He used it as a starting place, but he mostly speaks to me in different ways now. For example, through life events, by me suddenly just knowing things, through others, or even the answer being on my own lips at times since I'm prophetic.

I would take no for an answer
Just to know I heard You speak
And I'm wondering why I've never
Seen the signs they claim they see
Are they special revelations
Meant for everybody but me?
Maybe I don't truly know You
Or maybe I just simply believe

'Cause I can sniff, I can see
And I can count up pretty high
But these faculties aren't getting me
Any close to the sky
But my heart of faith keeps pounding
So I know I'm doing fine
But sometimes finding You
Is just like trying to
Smell the colour nine
Smell the colour nine

Now, I've never felt the presence
But I know You're always near
And I've never heard the calling
But somehow You've led me right here
So I'm not looking for burning bushes
Or some divine graffiti to appear
I'm just begging You for Your wisdom
And believe You're putting some here

One think the spirit called me to do was to talk to God using the bible, seeing that it is his word. I ask God somthing, not major but just like you would talk to a normal person, and then in my head i will see a bible verse pop up and it will generally be an answer to the question i had. It made me see that the bible has a whole dimension to it that i have never heard anybody talk about. Its called the word of God but it is also Gods words.

The more I know of Scripture the more I'm in tune with the Holy Spirit. Since He's also The Comforter, I asked the Lord to take the grief away from my dog Binky's departure. Sparing all the details, even my kids sensed my grief. So, I was walking outside in my backyard just mourning him and I looked up and I saw a string of words streaming down, like a kite's tail. It said' Why are you sad, Binky's having fun here and wouldn't want you to be sad'. It hit me like a lightening bolt and I was instantly healed of that deep sorrow. I told my son what happened and he was so relieved and amazed😂. All Glory to God😍🙌🙌🙌 He is so good!

I have heard the voice of the Lord twice in my life with great authority. Both times he woke me up-lol. First time was to teach me something, the second time was to alert me my friend had died. That night He spoke-Do not let your heart be troubled at 1:38 in the morning. Didnt understand the message till I woke up and found a message on my phone at 1:38 from her daughter

The Holy Spirit talks to me. I hear him clearly sometimes, and sometimes I'm not sure it's him or a demon's voice. He also speaks to me when I see certain things on tv or in certain pictures too. He also let's me know he is here with me randomly when I feel feelings sometimes.

Yep I hear it. It usually reminds me of what God has already told me, especially when I start trying to change situations by physical or intellectual means, instead of trusting God and seeking Him to answer.

God speaks to us in various ways. First of all in a still, soft voice we hear within us. Quite often it is because we are about to make a bad decision, take a bad action, and He warns us. Sadly, we do not always listen to Him, and much suffering and sorrow can come from our bad decisions/actions.

God speaks to us through others as well. A Sermon we hear, a song we hear, the words of family, friends, or co-workers. Some thing they say can touch our hearts and we are aware that the words they spoke are exactly the words we needed to hear at that particular time.

John 13:35 - By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Thanks for the post, Inspired from the verse above, thank you

I think that be true. Yet in religion, I found it not to be true. Love is to all, not a few or just those in your group. It is to all.
Even as Son did from that cross it was for us all

Hebrews 10:10

Authorized (King James) Version

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Tell me, if "I" do not truly love all, and am using anger over another person believing God or not, in condemning them, is that the Love of God on that cross once for us all?

John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 15:9
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 15:12
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, asI have loved you.

Therefore this Question remains?
How many sins did he, Christ take on at his death? All, A few or none?

If, it is all, Once, for everyone, (Hebrews 10:10) then, there is no more repentance to get forgiven, reconciled is there? 2 (Corinthians 5:17-20) We. all are either reconciled or not. How many sins, did Jesus willingly go to that cross for? How many have turned to belief in God over Law that is fulfilled for us each, in risen Son for them? Once, by belief in the done work of Son for any person, these, new kids, are sealed by God as born again by God are made born again as new by God, not self or anyone else? Once anyone turns to God personally in belief to God for them, Whether or not they are in afflictions, now, past or future, these will not deny God as in the book of Job reveals to me at least, Thank you Father and Son as Won (One)

Since, all at that cross are forgiven, everyone in Jesus's one time willing death alone through Father for us, what is left? Anything

Yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life with Father and Son everlasting between you two too.

Amazing Grace, what John Newton saw and turned to belief, a one time repentance and recieved the truth of the done work of Son for him in his resurrection

Accepted, forgiven and sealed by God Ephesians 1:6,7,13

I've been reflecting on this question. To be honest, I don't actually hear the Holy Spirit's voice. There are times when He brings a scripture to mind and I remember what was said there. But I would describe His presence as more of a light which guides me in the Way. I perceive Him as an influence more than as an actual voice.

Yes, of course. This is one of the defining characteristics of being a Christian. Romans 8:14 says, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." He leads around everyone who is His child.

In my experience, His voice is most clear (and most undeniable) in His correction. Whenever we go astray in our thinking, in our actions, or in our lack of actions (i.e., whenever we fail to walk as He leads), He corrects us for our good. It is better to walk where He leads instead of experiencing His correction, but it is comforting to know that He does not stop correcting us until we conform to His will and are corrected. We find this area of the Spirit's leadership in Hebrews 12.

But we hear the same voice in many other aspects of our lives. From the intimacy of our own hearts, not only does He correct us, but He leads us, guides us, warns us, teaches us, and comforts us. Over a long lifetime of hearing His voice, trusting Him, and walking as He leads, we experience the greatest blessing of salvation... which is to know Him.

God is faithful always, knows what each person needs and delivers it in through Risen Son Jesus as the true friend, only looking out for the best of each of us as in Jeremiah 29:11
We can now enter into God's Courts with Thanksgiving and praise, all sin taken away. Psalm 103:12, John 19:30, Hebrews 10:10

Pretty sure Jesus didn’t mean for the Disciples only to love each other and no one else. Kind of obvious

Not judging to condemnation, lest it come my way, but I cannot help but see clearly that many professing Christians today appear to be on the extreme end of hateful towards any who are not in agreement with them.
We are to pray for all people, even those who seem forever lost, this includes apparent unbelievers and apparent believers.
