“So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.”

Man oh man. There it is. How many threads and arguments are there over salvation, baptism, eternity, elect/no -elect?! We need to move on!

No. For us today. Pretty sure the Jews weren’t discussing baptisms, laying on of hands 🙄
Absolutely true.

One of the reasons the church does not progress is because many believers are not properly taught the elementary doctrines.
This is a consequence of rejecting those who are gifted in teaching foundational kingdom principles and knowing applications of grace among the believers.

Better yet, the failure to rightly divide the Jews and the body of Christ.

Right. People make the error thinking that “holy brethren” (Hebrews 3) can come from any other place save for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (resurrection of the dead). Furthermore, that God, after the ascension of Christ, actually speaks to man in any other way but by “Son” (eternal judgement).

The ignorant will try to divide the body of Christ into Jew and Gentile. All kinds of detestable doctrine come from that error.

Not that I'm entirely agreeing with Post #2...

CONSIDER:

--the word for "baptisms" in your verse, is the same Greek word used also in Hebrews 9:10 (about OT times), translated there as "washings" ('diverse [G1313] washings [G909]'):

Heb 9:8
The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Heb 9:9
Which was a figure [/is a parable] for the time then present [or, for the present time], in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
Heb 9:10
Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers [G1313] washings [G909--same Grk word], and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

"STRONGS G1936:

The imposition of hands, χειροθεσία, was a sacred rite transmitted by the Jews to the Christians, and employed in praying for another, or in conferring upon him divine blessings, especially bodily health, or the Holy Spirit (at the administration of baptism and the inauguration to their office of the teachers and ministers of the church): Genesis 48:14; Numbers 27:18, 23; Deuteronomy 34:9; 2 Kings 5:11, etc.; Matthew 19:13; Mark 16:18; Acts 6:6; Acts 13:3; Acts 19:6, etc. [See B. Okay, thanks for that little bit of background. Either way, they were stuck on the basics of Christianity and Paul was urging them to gain further understanding and begin maturing in the faith.

Are you actually saying that if I don’t listen and accept everything thing you’re saying then I’m in danger of judgement? Dude!

Matthew Henrys Commentary (excerpt)

We have here the apostle's advice to the Hebrews—that they would grow up from a state of childhood to the fullness of the stature of the new man in Christ. He declares his readiness to assist them all he could in their spiritual progress; and, for their greater encouragement, he puts himself with them: Let us go on. Here observe, In order to their growth, Christians must leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ. How must they leave them? They must not lose them, they must not despise them, they must not forget them. They must lay them up in their hearts, and lay them as the foundation of all their profession and expectation; but they must not rest and stay in them, they must not be always laying the foundation, they must go on, and build upon it.

(here)

Hebrews 6 Bible Commentary - Matthew Henry (concise)

Verses 1 through 8 are discussing what the Apostle Paul addressed in 1 Corinthians, Chapter 3:

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

The Author of Hebrews was (as was Paul) addressing new believers to begin to grown in their walk with Christ. To begin to mature and be able to feast on the spiritual understanding of Scripture which comes through the teachings of the indwelling Holy Spirit. New believers are like new babies, empty of knowledge and understanding. As they grow and mature, they learn to seek the spiritual understanding of Scripture to truly feast on the Word of God.

But not in the original KJB. Here is the title of Hebrews from the facsimile of the 1611 KJB (with archaic spelling):
THE EPISTLE OF PAVL the Apostle to the Hebrewes.

Speaking of the epistle to the Hebrews, it is full of "meat", from chapter 7 to chapter 12. Many Christians do not even take all this into account when discussing salvation and the finished work of Christ, as well as His current activities in Heaven (as High Priest, Mediator, and Advocate). If they would consider all of this, they would never doubt the eternal security of the believer.

I totally agree. Now, what is it we should move on to? What kind of threads would be better-suited to mature Christians?

To the Jews in the last days…
to the Jews in the last days there of only the fate of Edom, the gospel has been the seperating mechanism since Jesus gave us the parable of the wheat and the tares thus leaving nothing less for the Jews than to be gathered up by the rappers into bundles to be tossed into the lake of fire with the besst, the dragon, the false prophets, the fallen sons of God and death itself
