Matthew 10:37
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter morethan me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:37
If you love your father and mother more than you loveme, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.
Luke 14:26
“Anyone who wants to be my follower must love me far more than he does his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, or sisters—yes, more than his own life—otherwise he cannot be my disciple.

Let's say, you lost your mother or anyone to death, that you love. And you find out, that God is not saving any of them.
Will you continue to love God over everything including yourself, and anyone else, if they are not saved by God?

I lost a sister to an overdose, I was 14 years old, she was 18 then. If God does not save her, will I still put God in Christ first, continue to? Will you?
That is what I think God, Jesus was saying through Jesus to us the people, how about y'all
I chose God and however it turns out, me believing God is the one and only one righteous, and therefore, I stand in God's judgement, whether or not anyone makes it or not. God's call not mine.
That is me, after much discerning over everything, as bad as those verses sound, including, eat my flesh and drink my blood. Is astounding to flesh nature is it not?

So, I am curious to other views from each person in belief to God too, thank you

It is pretty clear. Anyone/thing one loves MORE than God becomes their God. It does not mean we are not to love our fathers, mothers, family, neighbors, for we are taught to love them, and to even love our enemies. It simply means no one or thing is to be MORE loved than God. Put God first in ALL things scripture teaches us.

I think God is talking about real-life pressures and needs. When you give your life to Jesus (or obey what you feel God telling you), your family may not be totally on board. Doesn’t mean we stop loving them or leave them, but we chose to do what God tells us and trust God to work out our family, if they get mad at us over it.

Loving God more than family....well in theory a church you belong to would be closer than family. Because you share mostly the same beliefs. And you would be all believers ideally.

A family could have all sorts of beliefs and no unity in Christ.

A family that goes to the same church together, all believers and united in Christ is a different story.

Matthew 22:36-40
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. ...

And Father, I see the people loving one another, are we loving others over loving you? Am I putting up with the other person, that is obvious, they do not know truth? Could be my neighbor, next door or a long distance away.
What am I to do. Listen! Love all, not just a few as only the first born do.

2 Corinthians 11

King James Version

11 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The simplicity, What simplicity? I am trying, I want to and when I do, I am elated and when I do not I am guilty again and again, then in pride again also, being told I have to repent over and over and over again. yet, I do not see you coming back to die all over gain, that is done for us all by Son through you is it not?

Luke 18:9-14

King James Version

9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Am I proud, I am in and you are not in? Am I loving to all, not just those others in my Church gathering. What is true Love? So many definitions of.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

King James Version

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

That above Lord, is what I need to work through me, thank you, I trust you to get that in and through me. For I see me, that First born person, not able being in pride and guilt here on earth from being a "Betty better than you" taught to not do and do to be in with God. When in reality, that is to be in with them, people of high stature here on earth, above God. Sounds like Pharisees, I do not see a pharisee as fair you see. That was clear to then by you Lord, in your earth walk here on earth, before the crucifixion to fix us, the people as reconciled forgiven
I trust you Father and Son to teach me new and learn truth from you, listening to others, yes. Yet taking it all to you to hear truth over error(s) of the flesh nature leading as if it is right. When no flesh pleases Father, Son and Holy Spirit. you came to save the Soul, by giving us your Spirit, Holy Spirit to lead, only if we are willing will this become that. For all that will not deny you, thank you, no matter how many mistakes one makes. If one is growing from them and learning new, then yes, God has got you smothered and covered in God for you to be new and remain new.
If you do not care, then you might not be in with God and you personally.
It is each person's personal free choice to choose, the tis a loving, merciful God I see, and so I chose to believe to see
Love to all
