I was going through a rough patch back in September 2023. I was always getting in trouble. One day when I got in trouble I saw my Bible next to my bed and I immediately started praying. Right then and there I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior.

I've now come to terms with the fact that I'm never going t be perfect but I know in my heart christ will be with me no matter what and that he loves me as I am

You're reminding me of when I got saved. My KJ Bible was a gift from a Sunday School teacher from childhood. It sat on a shelf near my bed.

Earlier that day, there was a Baptist who knocked on my door and ask if I were to die today if I was 100% sure if I'd go to heaven.
I wasn't, so he cared enough to take the time to share the gospel. He left me with a tract with Bible verses and wrote more down to look up. Romans 6:23, Revelation 21:8, about condemnation.
John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8, about the source of salvation.
Romans 10:9-13 How to receive the gift.

That night I was ready for bed and was reminded of the important topic.
I got the tract and and that KJ Bible in front of me on my bed as I knelt next to it. I then asked God to help me to understand this subject. I didn't want my mind to be clouded by so many opinions of pastors who I heard previously. Since they differed, they couldn't all be right.

Then I finally realized that salvation had nothing to do with my behavior, obeying the laws, sacraments, making Jesus the king of my life or any other works like that. It has to do with what He alone did for us. He paid for our sins and there's nothing I could add to that. Since we are saved by His grace and it's through faith Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, I made the decision. The Decision, <linked here, was to quit trusting in myself and to trust in Jesus, God's divine Son, 100%.

Since there were promises, like I John 5:11-13, I got up from kneeling at my bed with that gift that was never given based on behavior, nor taken away by misbehavior. You explained it in your testimony too. Your's is a good reminder of something in common that I don't remember anyone else sharing before.

Romans 6:23~ The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
:)

Revelation 21:8

John 3:16
:)

Ephesians 2:8-9
:)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Romans 10:13-15 ~ Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in
Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they
preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
