Yes. Christ called Himself "the Son of Man" much more than "the Son of God".

There was a good reason for this. The scribes, Pharisees. and lawyers were all acquainted with the prophecy of Daniel. And Daniel is the one who spoke of the Son of Man ("one like the Son of Man") as the one who would establish the Kingdom of God in earth.

The "clouds" mentioned here and in other Scriptures are not the clouds in the sky which give rain. These are "clouds" of saints and angels who will surround Christ at His Second Coming. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Rev 1:7)

But all the prophets and psalms foretold of the son to come later

This is more about Christ coming down in bodily form as He ascended in the same way. "A cloud" is not the same as "the clouds of heaven with power and great glory".

often it depends on the context of what’s being said like in that place the context is literal they are watching him with thier eyes being lifted up until he’s gone into the air and clouds out of thier sight and it’s telling them he’ll return one day in the sight of men also the same way

it’s sort of the context wheras in a prophecy the clouds may be symbolic or representative of other things like the great cloud of witnesses mentioned in Hebrews

If we keep things in their proper context then the Son of Man coming in (or with) the clouds of Heaven is a very distinctive prophecy related to the Second Coming. That phrase is repeated many times. It is also seen here (2 Thess 1:7,8): And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
In Revelation 19 we have all the saints also included. The reason the saints and angles are called "clouds" is because they are all in white raiment and also emanating light.

Does that not tell us that the Second Coming of Christ is extremely important? What is this “power and great glory” mentioned in Matthew 24?

When Jesus came to earth at His first advent it was in meekness and humility as the Lamb of God. That was when He came into the world to save sinners. But at His Second Coming He will come to destroy the enemies of God, Christ, Israel, Christians, and Christianity. As well as the unbelieving, the ungodly and the wicked.

He will wield His absolute divine power and destroy “with the breath (spirit) of His mouth” and “the brightness of His coming”. This is presented to us in these two passages below:

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day...

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (2 Thess 1:7-10; 2:8)

This is not "the end of the world" but "the end of the age". Many things will happen after that as seen in Revelation 20 & 21 (as well as other passages). "The age" ends with the Second Coming. The world ends with the complete burning up of the earth and atmospheric heavens. Then there is a "New Heavens and a New Earth".

Jesus is going to return at the end of the world infact his return will end it all just before that in an instant Thisnos going to happen

Its going to happen suddenly in a moment because this is the same day just after he delivers us

“Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.


But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. ( our deliverance and change will happen instantly before this and we’ll be caught up into the air )

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? ( it’s meant to exhort us )

You ought to live holy and godly lives But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.”

The two things do not happen at the same time. This "salvation" is actually the culmination of salvation at the Resurrection/Rapture. That takes place at least seven years before the Second Coming.
