I think his response was loaded with sarcasm in answer to a loaded question. He would've done better to lose the black descriptive, even if he was addressing that specific audience, rather than provide the spinners with any ammo.

Ok, you look up the stats that support your view and here's an excerpt from one that supports my argument written by Newsweek Aug10, '23:

Which States Are Most Affected?
The 13 states most affected by labor shortages, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, are Alabama, Arkansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah and Vermont.

Given, I don't know the extent of which these states have been affected by illegal immigration, California, New York, Illinois is conspicuously missing from this list.

I agree that the 'empowerment of woman's choice' has had adverse effects on the nation's population with the choice being presented in a manner that a pregnancy is the problem that needs solved, when the root problem is actually her initial choice in the men which she indiscriminately allows access to her body. But that goes both ways in regard to men, so I blame the national population as a whole being concerned aspiring to neither be mothers nor provisional protective fathers.
I don't think immigration is the actual issue, properly vetted.
This is why I don't try and interpret or speak for him. This is another way to understand what he was saying and is also plausible.

No sir, I'm asking you to post a video, or timestamp the one in the OP and show me where Trump says "A Black job is any Black person with a job."

You keep making this about people being offended by the term "Black jobs", when really, it's about the definition he gave... not the one you wish he gave.

Is it your belief that Trump only wanted to mention illegal immigrants taking the jobs of Black people because he was talking to a crowd of Black people? If so, wouldn't it have been less ignorant to say illegal immigrants are taking American jobs as opposed to "Black jobs" and then define "Black jobs" as "anybody with a job"? Can you be as objective as you possibly can and answer?
I am not interested in this thread. I listened to the interview once, that was my recollection. The only reason I am still posting on this thread is because of my responses to others. To be fair, I think this thread is absurd, this happens to me every now and then. You step into a thread like this and it is like stepping in dog poop and you then have to spend a long time trying to scrape the smelly, stinking, sticky poop off your shoes.

So no, I have never once said I was speaking authoritatively for Trump as either his interpreter or spokesman. On the contrary I have said repeatedly I was not. Instead I said that I heard the interview and this was my understanding, which it is.

I heard him use the term "black job" and I heard him asked to define that as well as his definition. I have worked in a school that was 99.75% people of color and I was not offended. Half of my family is black and I was not offended. But if others are offended go ahead, that is your right in this country.

But all this talk about this does nothing but cause me to wonder about some of the people on this forum.

I just wanted to add, just because someone can be ignorant, doesn't mean they are necessarily a racist. I have misspoken and said some stupid things in my time. I'm not convinced Trump is a racist or I wouldn't even consider voting for him. However, I'm not running for president. I just wished he worded things better. He isn't doing himself any favors.

I will apologize for something that I have said that is offensive. However, I suspect the reason you and others are afraid to point out a post is because it will be clear it is not offensive.

What on earth could Trump be thinking going to the national association of BLACK journalist and speaking about black jobs. He must be racist right? He said BLACK, but those perfect people at the "national association of BLACK journalist " are not though right? Why? Can you tell me why it's racist of Trump to say black, but no one else? Again, this is a very stupid point of view. Not wrong, not "off", but STUPID.

Okay, from now on consider yourself under observation from me. I will leave alone all your vaccine and conspiracy stuff and false prophecies.
I will point out to you anything that is offensive and then we can have a fair discussion.

On this point of "black jobs" you're either very isolated or there's something else going on. Because anyone on the East Coast that i've traveled knows what "black jobs" or "getting paid under the table" means.

Trump went to the NABJ conference because he was making significant gains with black men. Your analysis of the interview is irrelevant. The reality is that black men do not view his appearance as favorably as you do.
You just contradicted yourself in the same sentence. Nice job.
Thus his strategy was unsuccessful and should not be defended. This is why Trump is losing in the polls. Because instead of learning from his campaign failures he doubles down.
Yeah. Cause ya know, black Americans don't care about paying DOUBLE for groceries and gas, and housing, and.....

They also are cool with schools teaching their little kids it's ok if Johnny takes hormone suppressors and chopping, or adding body parts to become Josephine.

And I'm sure they love MILLIONS of illegal aliens coming and taking their jobs for less money too.

Or maybe you should look in the mirror. I have been to all 50 states, I lived in Asia for eight years, I graduated from HS in England, I have travelled around Europe and Central America. Perhaps I am not the one that is isolated.

I have never had any problem fitting into the church or congregation I was visiting and you are the only person to ever ask me if I speak english.

I feel like Matt Walsh right now... What IS a "Black job" though? I already knew the context in which he said it. I defended Trump in the other thread about people twisting what he said in regards to fixing the country no one will need to vote again.

He CLEARLY referenced "Black jobs"... I'm asking for someone to expand on what that is. He said it's anyone with a job. Then does that mean all jobs are "Black jobs"? Is being president of the United States a "Black job" by his definition? It certainly fits it... No?
He was talking to a black crowd so he said there taking black jobs.😳🤭You can tell he doesn’t hang around black people much and IMO he looks at them as though they are separate from white people, nevertheless It was IMO an innocently Ignorant statement. He’s probably racist but he doesn’t know It so I’ll give him a pass This time.

Does this mean that you don't want me to point out your ridiculous comments from time to time? That's fine with me but since you don't understand what "black jobs" means, it tells me that you're either isolated or there's something else going on.
So if you don't want to discuss this further then there won't be much progress anywhere else.
I mean you sounded very odd to me when you said to me that you don't want to get the definition of a slang dictionary.
I mean, are you for real? You think that half the words that people say in slang in the English language are not part of the English language?

When slang becomes part of the English language it shows up in dictionaries. Merriam Webster added 690 words in 2023. So either you don't understand how dictionaries work or you are obfuscating. Either way you shouldn't be asking if others can speak english.

Words also fall out of use. I think it is instructive that the last usage of "Black Jobs" was 1870 when slavery ended.

So hold on a second here. Unless it's written it doesn't exist? This is your logic?
You've never heard of the term "getting paid under the table" or "black jobs"? Would you like me to explain it to you?

I never made the claim Trump is racist for talking about "Black jobs" or saying "Black". Do you mind telling me on what a "Black job" is though?

Dictionaries add words to the dictionary that are used. Because Trump used this term and it has generated a lot of ink on this term it may very well show up in a future dictionary. That is how dictionaries operate, they look at what words and terms are used. "Google" would be a good example. "Surfing" got a whole new definition after the invention of the internet.

But words are also pruned out of the dictionary because they aren't used. Just like the invention of the internet creates new words, the end of slavery makes many terms obsolete.

Why don't we start simple?
Explain to me your understanding of what a "black job" is. Or "getting paid under the table" means.

Record 44.5 Million Immigrants in 2017
Non-Mexico Latin American, Asian, and African populations grew most

https://cis.org/Report/Record-445-Million-Immigrants-2017

(This was census data that included both legal and illegal. Most valid estimates put 20 million illegals coming in during Biden's administration if you include the gottaways with about 25 million illegals in the country when Biden took office)
The link you provided uses the same Census Bureau information that the Pew research Center used for thier pie chart.

This text is from the link you provided notice it says that the 44.5 million number is made up of both Legal and illegal.

“The nation's immigrant population (legal and illegal) hit a record 44.5 million in July 2017, an increase of nearly 800,000 since 2016, 4.6 million since 2010, and 13.4 million since 2000.”

Here is the chart again based off the same information that you provided. IMG_1604.jpeg

A non-racist can still use race and exaggerate fear of illegal immigrants killing you though, right?
Did you listen to yourself in this sentence?
1. They are NOT illegal immigrants. That is a misrepresentation right from the start.
2. The are FOREIGN MIGRANT INVADERS. So we need the truth here and you will not get it from the Left. But you are willing to deceive yourself.
3. They include all the scum from other countries -- hardened criminals, rapists, murderers, child traffickers, human traffickers, the mentally insane, and also terrorists.
4. They include (to a large degree) single military age men who are already trying to subvert the country and are ready to work for China and the Muslim terrorists.
5. The have poured in by the millions, and even attacked those who wanted to stop them at the border. This has changed the demographics negatively.
6. They have actually been ENCOURAGED to break immigration laws to begin with, and after they commit crimes in the USA, they are immediately excused from accountability.
7. They have in fact committed many heinous crimes in the USA, and will continue to do so.
8. They have formed criminal gangs in NY City, and have terrorized and robbed innocent citizens.
9. All the levels of government have altogether spent BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to maintain them free of charge at tax payer expense, and also given them royal treatment to buy votes.
10. They have put veterans, seniors, and law-abiding citizens at a disadvantage by having benefits diverted to them from those who should have rightfully received them.

And you believe that the lawful citizens of America should not fear these monsters? If you lived in the centers where they have gathered by the thousands, and had a family, you would not fear for your family and yourself if they invaded your home, and treat all this as NORMAL? In view of all this are fears being "exaggerated" or the exact opposite? Do you even see the insanity of this whole thing.

My thoughts on illegal immigration: BOTH parties pretend they want legal immigration but secretly enable illegal immigration. I would only argue it's slightly more self-evident that Democrats are cool with illegal immigration. If Republicans are wanting to crack down on this, why not TARGET the people who hire illegal immigrants? Give them 20 or 30 year sentences. Republicans claim to be the party of law and order and be tough on crime, yeah? Instead of going for the people hiring illegals, we vilify illegal immigrants who come to the US and do jobs for pennies on the dollar in comparison to what the employer would have to pay an American to do.

It's exploitative to use illegal immigrants in this way. Sure, illegal immigrants are breaking the law by coming here, but if we eliminate what is attracting them (Americans willing to hire them so they can pay them pennies on the dollar for their labor), then we de-incentivize illegal immigration. Why would they come if no one is going to hire them?

Also, I won't be a hypocrite and say I wouldn't do the same thing as them. If coming here illegally means I could provide a better living for my family, I might do it... The one that has the greater sin are the ones hiring the illegal immigrants. They are not only breaking the law, but they are exploiting children of God by paying them only pennies on the dollar in comparison to an American worker. They are so desperate to provide a living they are willing to take those pennies. It's really sad.
