It may simply be a matter of not being a fan of Star Wars... Whereas I rarely missed a showing of David Carradine's Kung Fu. Still, I do recognize that the force is strong with you, my friend...
Why do I feel like someone took a pebble from my hand?

That would be God causing it to happen in your belief system. Always remember, ALL evil comes from God, even though your confessions of faith will speak out of two sides of their mouths.

Not a single evil deed the devil does that God has not predestinated, always remember.

The "reformed FAITH" isn't a "FAITH" at all - it's only a "THEOLOGICAL SYSTEMATIC".

"Theology" can't make anybody "Secure", since it's nothing but intellectual assent to a bunch of controversial concepts/ interpretations.

FAITH, grounded in a living relationship with God through the Holy Spirit is where SECURITY comes from. No place else.

Really. They are deflections because I refused to acknowledge that you are correct?
More deflection from you, grasshopper ... the original passage posted did not say anything about trying to obey the commandments ...they actually said to obey. Deflect deflect deflect away all you like you cannot change that fact.

The reformed faith isn't fatalism. That you can't tell the difference is no surprise at all.

To mankind Reformed Theology is simply a fate beyond our control.

So yes Reformed Theology is fatalism, hence the name.

A living relationship with God grounded in the imputed faith of Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, is alone that which gives security. It is not in the (reverse) order as you have it stated, nor by any other source.

fatalism
noun
  1. the belief that all events are predetermined and therefore inevitable.
"fatalism can breed indifference to the human costs of war"

You chose the word, I am simply showing you what it means.
You're misusing the word and you know it. Now I am holding bearing false witness against you.

It is you who chose to use the word. You should have checked the meaning of the word before using it.

Predestiny, or predestination, means something has been decided in advance, especially by divine command or fate, and cannot be changed. For example, you might say someone is predestined to be a star if you believe the universe wants them to be famous. The word comes from the Latin word praedestinare, which means "determine beforehand".

Predestiny is a popular concept in religious doctrine, where there is a lot of interest in what the future holds and what people should do. For example, some Protestant Reformers, including John Calvin and Huldrych Zwingli, believed that God predestines both salvation and damnation. The Catholic Church also has views on predestination, including the idea that God does not predestine people to go to hell, but that people must willfully turn away from God to do so.

Predestination = fate = fatalism.

On the issue of me "bearing false witness".

I'm aware of the CoC mind. I grew up in the church. You think you know everything about everything, but you don't. You use a dictionary to "prove" your doctrinal case. How about showing some humility and try to understand the other person's argument? That would be much too hard for you. My assessment stands.

Touche. I think Yoda might say in reply...the farce is strong in this one.
That was Darth Vader in Episode IV "A New Hope" at the 1hour and 34 minute point.

On the "Touche" --- Morticia, you spoke French!!!

I use a dictionary to "prove" the meaning of words.

You should try it.

You should show some humility and admit it was a terrible choice of words.

I understand your viewpoint and I believe you are sincere.

Yours truly,
