For those who hold an interest in " END TIMES" (eschatology),
much speculation and interest has been devoted to...."THE MARK"
what it is, how it will be enforced, where it will be placed etc....
the real concern should be, understanding just WHO authorizes the mark to be created in the first place & WHY!!!!!

God told israel to take this mark speaking of his words and command as a sign of obedience

“And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.”

Hi @SACREDWARRIOR

I've long considered the mark to be a reference to our hands and our head. Thus, the work that we do, would be a mark on our hands. Do our hands work for God or work for Satan? The mark on the forehead denotes our mind, our thoughts, our innermost thinking. Is it concerned with the things of God or of man?

Hi @Magenta

Yes, and if that is the correct understanding, then we have been marking ourselves for the last two centuries at least. It isn't something that we are to be 'looking' for as some phenomenon that just pops up in the days of the Great Tribulation. Just like today we understand that believers are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, it isn't something that you can physically see in that person, but is seen by their works and love for God. Similarly, the 'mark' is something that God can see just as He sees the Holy Spirit working in us.

i agree that the mark may be spiritual and symbolic of our thoughts and deeds, allegience to the beast system. but where i would have to take the literal route is the 'not able to buy or sell' which causes me to think its something physical. i can only think of two verses that speak of buying or selling in a spiritual sense and i believe its actual buying and selling, cut off from the market place, a form of persecution

Yes, that is problematic as far as it's being some ongoing practice. I've considered that it may be more like one's having to be involved in all of the buying and selling that goes on in the world without somehow being tainted with the mark, or the wickedness of sin. That no one can buy or sell without the mark could indicate that even our greediness in our business dealings will overcome us. And yes, it could be a persecution that comes that if we're not involved in the wicked world system, then we won't be able to buy or sell.

Just my thoughts, but I've pretty strongly rejected the idea that it's some body implant.

You know what's crazy?Tptb are the ones who're gonna flee into literal mountains in hidden bunkers and the mountains will fall on them,and they will die.Those who flee with the 144,000 will die a spiritual death,and be born again.

Here's another spiritual truth that happens on the 6th seal.

Revelation 6:15
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.

It means the same thing.Repent.
God saved my life one time.More than once.I've tried to count how many times but when I started counting to thirty it was too much to bare.
But this one time he saved me I could hear his voice speaking the Revelation 6:15 verse and back then I didn't understand why he would use that verse for that particular situation.He covered me in his Holy Mountain.

I believe the Mark is literal because of the buying and selling. The people must be able to recognize a physical mark on the hand or forehead.

It’s a false Christianity claiming to be of God . And the mark is a reference to thier beliefs and deeds . Revelation isn’t a literal book about literal things. It a spiritual vision about the world and consociational war between good and evil for mankind’s living soul. The mark isn’t going to be like a ratio or credit card or something it’s about being identified as either Gods or satans

The mark of the be beast

the point was ( my opinion ) is that the mark of the beast should be thought of biblically and in tbe bible are many examples of marks on foreheads d hands names on forwards and hands ect and if we see what those things mean consistently then the mark of the beast should be understood the same way in the vision

is another way of saying this

I think the mark is identifying the devils children or Gods children through thier beliefs and actions ( mind and hands )

And that’s what the marks are about ….that was why I left that scripture I saw someone else had the same thought so I left it alone .
