What are you hoping to buy someday soon?

Yup. That's as deep as this thread gets. At least at the start.

I don't mean pie-in-the-sky stuff. A personal yacht big enough to live on full-time, a Bugatti Veyron, a private island... Varth! We could spend all year talking about stuff we will never get. I mean what are you actually expecting to get soon, that you are currently looking forward to? What are you saving up for? What do you plan to get when your tax return comes in next year? What would you currently have on layaway, if they still did layaway?

Materialistically speaking, basically what are your short-term hopes and dreams?

I'm saving money to be able to buy a new snowboard this winter. I already have one but will buy a little harder one that you can more easily do tricks with when jumping :)

As for myself, I want an electric bike wheel. I can use it to make my bike an e-bike.

Why not just get an e-bike? I can fix every part of a regular bike with an electric wheel. Regular e-bikes often have sealed parts that I can't easily access.

Standard e-bikes conversion kits come with a lot of parts:

I found one that is just the wheel and battery. All the other stuff is handled inside the motor hub, and it connects to your smartphone for controls. Or you can get a bluetooth throttle.

And it's already water resistant.

Add foam tires for no flats and it's about as foolproof as I can make it. When I can afford it.

What tricks can you currently do?

What tricks can you not do with your current board that you will be able to do with the new one?

Just nosy... I mean, just curious. I don't know much about snowboarding.

I can do lot of tricks already, like Ollie, Switch Ollie, different grab in air, Japan Air, Spin and flip. but with the harder one is more difficult but when you can handle it you can jump higher to do more combinations.

What (besides, obviously, posting on the forum) do you use your computer for? Recording audio? Editing video? Playing light games? Playing AAA games?

My wish list???

An off grid cabin. 😁☕
I specified stuff you are actually planning to get. If you did get an off grid cabin you would be bored in a day and a half. Max.

Oh I would get bored but I'd have a place where I could hide from zombies and chat with my internet friends and post "taxation is theft" memes and talk about coffee and sandwiches...

😀

Chat with your internet friends? How is THAT off-grid? :p

I mean... With solar panels you could technically call it off-grid if it was not physically connected to any wires from outside the property. But it's still connected wirelessly, so "They" can still track you.

Oh but but but...

It will have a tin roof. That's like a tin foil hat but cabin size.
I'll be ok! 🙃😆

Well Jiminy Crickets.

This is a great question, and I could give you a list of things I'd like to buy (some only in my imagination -- if I could find them,) but unfortunately, I'm developing a long list of things I will HAVE to buy. None of them are things I particularly enjoy, but unfortunately, they are needs.

I"m going to have to buy a new printer. Gah. I can't really complain, because I can't even tell you how old the one I'm using is. I think at least 20 years. But I know that mechanically, it's on it's last legs. The problem is, I need a printer/scanner/copier that isn't wireless and uses a regular USB port, but so far I haven't found one.

I'm also going to have to save up for an additional pair of glasses. Eye doctors have been trying to talk to me into bifocals for about 5 years but I know they'll give me headaches, so I'm going to have to get a separate pair of prescription readers (I have a very high prescription, so over the counter ones would be like burning a tealight when I need a full bonfire.)

So... I'm very grateful that I should be able to buy them sometime in the next year, God willing, but... Grumble, grumble.

We all know what's it's like when we have to buy the grownup stuff and can't buy the fun stuff we really want.

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses usually has a low price for 2 pair of glasses. The eye exam is reasonable too. If you have one in your area, maybe you can save.

I mean... Does it have to NOT be a wireless printer?

A lot of printers can USB or wireless connect. Do you have to have one that ONLY connects via USB?
