Father, please lead Jacko to the position you have for him. You lead us guide us through prayer and your word. Give him confidence that this is where YOU want him to be. In Jesus name.

So I havent heard back from the company or recruiter.. It looks like I'm not getting the job but that's OK. I will keep my head up and keep searching and praying for the good Lord, whatever plans he has for me.

Waiting is the hardest part.

The 2nd round interview I thought went OK... still waiting for an answer so please keep me in your prayers.
For I have reminded the Lord.

"But if anyone not provide for his own, and specially for those of his own household, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"

1 Timothy 5:8

brothers and sisters, I haven't heard back from the firm and the 2nd round and final interview was last Thursday afternoon of 10/10.
I thought the interview went well, and to be honest, I thought they would offer me the position so I sent them a nice follow up note again today to see where they are in the process.

No response doesn't mean no, but I'd be lying if I haven't been anxious. Not knowing is worse than getting rejected sometimes you know? In the meantime, I keep repeating telling myself Jehovah Jireh and God will provide and not be anxious but it's been 10 months and not having a job is a weird feeling.

I need to keep the faith in God's perfect timing and for his provision.

All of life is a test! Everything that happens in our lives is under control by our Father. We can always trust Him even if it doesn't look right to us. So even if this job doesn't turn out, the Father has something more for you and it will draw you closer to Him. And that will always be of more value than any job in this life! Love Him with all your heart! Trust Him that He will always do whatever is best for us no matter what! Thank you Father for Your will. Let Jacko have a job of your choice to accomplish Your will! Amen!

Thank you brother, I've been praying for discernment also. Sometimes, like doing nothing is like a really weird feeling.
From when we are 5 years old, we go to pre-school then for the next 18 years through college we are always doing something on a fixed schedule. After college we are ingrained to be working and our careers. The other time in 2008 during the great financial crisis was laid off for 2 years. During that time unemployment benefits were extended to 2 years due to the extraordinary circumstances. Things are a lot different now, as a father and husband, sitting around with nothing to do is really quite an adjustment. I try and stay busy, sending out resumes, cleaning the house, reading the good word, praying etc. I know God has a plan and I don't want to complain like the Israelites in the desert, so I just keep praying that he reveals what he wants me to do. God is teaching me to be patient that's for sure!
