Trying to rebuild

My husband of 27 years is having an affair and I have been praying for him to repent to god and take accountability but he hasn’t. It’s been since December and I have tried to be patient and pray but with my heart so broken I want joy and peace again in my life. I filed for a legal separation and we have a son who is a senior in school. My husband won’t talk to me or face me. I don’t hate him but I don’t know who this man is anymore. I want god to bless me with a man to love me and be our spiritual leader in our relationship

The worse thing a spouse can do in a marriage is to cheat on the other spouse. This destroys marital trust which can never be restored.

Sorry this happen to you but please know that you are not alone in this type of terrible heartbreak. Others on this site have been through, or going through the same thing. I've been through this too with my first wife of many years ago.

After the divorce I was still hurt for a few years but finally came to the realization that the divorce from this horrible spouse was actually a blessing from God. You took the right course of action in the separation but now perhaps consider for filing for divorce.

sorry to hear of this. i wish you spiritual healing for the both of you. for you to understand this separation, you must be completely honest with yourself in what occurred. the best way to do this is find your favorite place with all quietness & retrace the whole issue in your mind. as you cogitate on what he did wrong, with equal enthusiasm, ponder on what you did wrong or could have done better. the longer you sit & think this over, the more answers you will arrive at. blessings to you.
