but my favorite holiday candy is Cotlets/Turkish delights.

I once saw a recipe for Turkish Delight that was described as, "So Good, It's Worth Betraying Your Family For" (as Edmund does in the Narnia stories.)

Rocket Fizz has
Daisy, you are posting pictures of some of the most amazing-looking candy I've never tried!

I wish I could find it in my area. :)
Rocket Fizz has lots of "classic" candy bars including Rocky Road. You should really try the mint chocolate one.

I get mine at my local grocery outlet, they get eveything every few months.
i have tried things from popped lily seeds, to candy from multiple ethnicitys, to cheap chocolate, to 5-cent-slimjims-5-months-past-the-best-by.

Sounds like the Salvage grocery in the town where my job is.

But if you find something you like, you'd better buy all they have. You'll never see it again.

I'm curious, how do you know so much about this type of food? :D
Eli,

It's nothing interesting. It is the result of having a diverse family. On one side, I have Germans and Italians, and on the other side, I have a grandmother from the South and cousins who are Jewish and Mexican.

You and I apparently have very different definitions for the word interesting.

They have pop rocks too, but I'm not really a fan. My wife likes the Razzles because of the movie 13 going on 30.
i am not a fan of the pop rocks as much either. too 'pop'
my favorite 'classic' candy is actually rock crystals. for some reason sucking on giant sugar is soothing.

I used to think I was slightly unique in that.

Then my aunt Diane started going to the salvage grocery. She found something she liked, bought a lot of them, and commented to the cashier that she was buying all of that item they had, just like her nephew. The cashier said, oh a lot of people do that.

Yeah, peanut butter crackers...

Did you know those get old after a few years? Even if they are sealed. Very disappointing.

I definitely eat it, but there's only so much I can eat in a given time...

If you buy faster than you eat, it piles up. And they have so many great deals all the time!

Nah, they never have any really good candy after Halloween. Halloween candy is made to give away, so it's only the cheap stuff.

I used to be really big on after Christmas candy sale. But these days they don't even make really good Christmas candy anymore.

Sometimes you can score dark chocolate truffles at an after Valentine's Day sale. But even that is rare now.
