I hope I don’t offend anyone by asking these questions. I just want to understand why I feel this way and be corrected if I’m wrong.
Is the Church supposed to vote? Are we citizens of Heaven or Earth? Are we not still wrestling not against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high places? Is satan still wickedly deceptive? Have some made themselves idols of men (complete with altars and merchandise)? How hard is it for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven? Is choosing the lesser of two evils the right choice? Can you be one with Christ and choose any evil? Have either Presidential candidate professed with their mouth that Jesus is Lord? Is stopping men from competing in women’s sports repenting from what has been done? Are either going to turn back and go in the opposite direction of the perversions? What does this election have to do with the Church?
Help me understand please.

We are of the Kingdom of God. Jesus Yeshua is our King. What have we to do with Herod or Caesar? Let all who are governed by this age be as they are until they come to the true power, the Throne of God.

If either of the US presidency candidates and any who is holy knows this, by all means, inform we who are too ignorant to choose.

Howdy and welcome to the Forum.

All the questions you just asked have been asked time and time again, and definitely will be asked until the time when elections are no more.

Personally I didn't vote, and for some of the reasons you cited. But almost everybody in my family did vote, for reasons they felt were important.

I respect their decision, whether they respect mine or not. My decision to not vote does not make me a better Christian, nor does their decision to vote make them better Christians.

We were not created to be reeds blowing in the wind. We were given the power of choice by our Creator. We are then held accountable for those choices, both earthly and spiritual consequences. Chose wisely.

There were significant choices to be made in this election. life, and the defense of God's Land and People are just two. Sitting back and saying "Let God do it" does not feel like a Christian response. I mentioned before, whenever I pray, God's first response is always "Ok, where did you leave off, what have you done so far".

Being in a democracy is a privilege and a challenge. I'm not a citizen where I live and I have no voting rights. It's easier in a way as no one can blame me for the result. It's also a little frustrating to be on the sidelines.

There is nothing wrong with voting as long as you follow your conscience. It's better to vote than not. Pray for guidance, but remember that it is the Church that has the final say, if we only knew it.

One example: A late friend of mine was involved in a prayer group that focused on the nation's leadership. At the time, the Prime Minister was an atheist who hated Christians. The prayer group interceded for the nation. It took an amazing turn of events, but the PM was defeated. He was originally elected in a land side.

If the church fails to pray and seek God, the devil will fill the vacuum.

There's one of those good reasons that the rest of my family have for voting. And I can understand that.

If voting goes against your conscience, then yes, it would be wrong... for YOU. It's a personal choice. If you have doubts, don't do it. Keep an open mind about it, and discuss it with mature belivers, but if you are unsure, then abstain.
