I've of course tried Reddit. On several different mental health "support" subreddits, you can follow every rule to the letter and then some, and still get blocked anyway. Ditto if you were to ask another member what words to avoid saying on this subreddit so you don't get blocked. Therefore, I can't be bothered to try any of the other mental health "support" subreddits.

Not sure that they have a forum, but can direct you to a lot of resources. They've been around a long time and are reputable.

what seems to be the issue? is there anything you need to talk about?
I saw a therapist for a few months, honestly it's like talking to a paid friend who doesn't judge you.

Quote from Monk, in an episode where he acquired a best friend and was freaking out over the friend coming to visit his house. The lady who goes everywhere with him says:

"This can't be the first time you've had a friend."

"Yes it is."

"Aww Mr Monk, I'm your friend!"

"Only because I pay you."

(muttering) "Not THAT much..."

I just wanted to be able to share some anecdotes of my past, some of which I find more funny than the average person, others seem to bother me more than the average person.

Also, sharing calming acts that worked for me. But I wanted to share it with others, because even those who might not be able to afford an actual therapist can probably still get on the site.

Maybe you'd like to share some of your stories and things that have/haven't worked here via a series of threads you could write here?

I know I for one would be interested in reading them, and the Miscellaneous section of the forum would be a good place for it (or perhaps Singles or Family, whichever you'd feel more comfortable with.)

Testimonies is good too, but unfortunately, doesn't get as much traffic and even less interaction.

I still have the box set on DVD! It was hard to find on streaming for a while, but now it's reappeared. But I'm holding onto the DVDs until the day they die.

I was just mentioning the national suicide hotline (dial: 988). I think these kinds of things are great resources, and there really is no reason not to take advantage of each and every tool available. We're all human, and we've all been to the edge from time to time.
