The law at Sinai was spiritual in that it was to be understood spiritually. It was to make the adherents (the Jews) desperate for someone to redeem them from it! Remember: the law was ADDED to them because they Jews transgressed God's commandments.

Here is the commandment they transgressed (again, you will NOT find this in the law given at Sinai or the 10 Commandments)

Moses explains;
"The Lord talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire. 5 I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord; for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain."

So they are set up at Sinai and the Lord says this:
“Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.”

So the people were to draw near to the mountain with Moses so that they could hear God speak with Moses.

But this is what happened:
"Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off."

They did not come near. They stood afar off. This was the transgression. The command to come close was not written down. It was delivered Spirit to spirit.

In the presence of the Lord they would have been changed. But, because of their fear, they stood away from Moses and God.

So, instead of becoming a nation of priests, as God said they would, only 1 tribe out of 12 would become priests by the law that was added because of transgression: the law at Sinai and the 10 Commandments. The promises given to the sons of God would have to wait until the Redeemer appears.
Make the Jews desperate to redeemed from the moral laws of God? That inform us on how to live God and our neighbor?

Where is that in Scripture. You do know there were 613 Mitzvah, laws, of God?

No scripture says the law that was added because of sin is the Ten Commandments. I would be careful Pro 30:5-6

You can't have the same law that defines sin Rom 7:7 Mat 5:19-30 1 John 3:4 James 2:10-12 be the same law that was added because of sin.
I am showing you a divine record of God's commandments, statutes and laws that were never part of the 10 Commandments. The Father speaks, the Son obeys. That's the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

In the beginning, the Son spoke and the Spirit obeyed Him, bringing that which was not into existence.

No, the curse of the law was "You transgress any of the law given at Sinai you are guilty of transgressing all of the law."

The people didn't need a hand up to obey the laws, they needed a new nature not subject to the law of sin and death.

No. You're repeating an excerpt from the Nicene creed.

The priesthood that a Christian receives is not through the tribe of Judah. I'm not even Jewish. It does come through Christ. You are correct about this. But it comes to Christians in the new creation. Old things are passed away. All things have become new. I'm part of a new humanity and a new priesthood. I have access into the very throne room of God and am bid to come boldly. No longer does 1 man 1 time a year enter into the Holy of Holies, but the priests of God come continuously into His presence. We don't bring the blood of bulls and goats, but the sacrifice of praise being continually on our lips.
Hallelujah. The King is come.
Jesus came from the tribe of Judah, that is a fact, if we are in Christ we are grafted in through faith and become His priests too.

The New Covenant is only written to Israel and Judah, I would not want to write myself out of God's Covenant Promise

Hebrews 8:8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

God's law is perfect for converting the soul Psa 19:7 the issue is not the law, which is holy, righteous and good Rom 7:12 it is the people who rebel against it. God does what to change our nature, because what we think becomes actions, why God wrote His law in our hearts, right where sin begins Heb 8:10 and if we are in Christ He changes our thoughts and feelings where we no longer have anger in our heart and thou shalt not murder would automatically be kept and none of the commandments of God would be broken Mat 5:19-30 So yes, its our nature God's wants changed, not His perfect law that if we allow and keep it the way He said, converts our soul in cooperation with His Spirit John 14:15-18

False.
Jesus reiterated the o commands in the New Covenant Testament.
Why wouldn't He? The law at Sinai was still in effect when He spoke.

Only one who was sinless could cancel the curse of the law. If He died while sinless, He would become master of its authority.

Not only that, but His very presence completed the law because He was the Seed promised to come.

The law was given until the Seed should come:

"Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator."

The new covenant isn't for all people? Can you explain Psalm 2:7-8? Also, can you explain why God said to Abraham that through him all the nations of the earth would be blessed?

So,according to your philosophyGod gave the people his laws but they were not ever able to obey them. Which resulted in physical death for disobeying certain of the laws. So at that death those transgressors either went to Abraham's bossom or Hell. Until many generations later God The Word arrived in the flesh as Yeshua,Jesus,so to redeem a whole generation of different people and give them that new nature so they could obey his laws that he gave the past generation centuries before.

Is that right?

Psalms was written to the Jews who were under the law at Sinai. It was the best expression of God's character they had been given.

The covenant is made to Isarel and Judah, never to Gentiles.

If we are in Christ, there is no more Jew or Gentiles we are grafted in through faith. Gal 3:26-28

God's Israel always represented His people. Even in the OT Gentiles could be grafted in by faith, such as Ruth.

What covenant do you suppose I am part of?

Psalms was written to the Jews who were under the law at Sinai. It was the best expression of God's character they had been given.
Yet scripture says:

2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness,

Jesus said: Quoting from the OT

Mat 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

I am going to stick with wat God said.

Except Jesus knew he was here to die on the cross. And yet he still said,if you love me keep my commandments. Those he reiterated from the 10 commands.

The 10 commandments are moral laws. They are not void today.

The law that was changed in Hebrews 7 is described in Hebrews 7 and its the law of the priesthood, because the law said the priest had to come from the tribe of Levi, but Jesus came from the tribe of Judah, so in order for Jesus to be our High Priest in the NC, the law of the priesthood had to change which is the context of this entire chapter if read in context.

Do you think we still need to love God with all our hearts and have love to one another?
Yes, He is specifically speaking about the priesthood in that passage, but he is showing How the law HAD TO BE CHANGED, but why change just that one thing? Put this scripture together with, the rest of the book—everything about the old Jewish law was described as inferior to the new law of Christ. When He says it is “obsolete and ready to vanish away,” he is not just talking about the priesthood—he is talking about all of the old law. It was being replaced as Hebrews 10:9 says. He took away that first covenant —ALL of it , not just the priesthood, the whole covenant and REPLACED it with the second” covenant, the New Testament law of Christ. Hebrews 7 says He changed “the law”; he did not qualify it as pertaining only to the priesthood.

Hebrews 7:7-“ For if that first covenant (law” had been faultless, then there would be no need for a SECOND. (The blood of bulls and goats can’t take away sins) that was one of the things wrong with the old Jewish kaw. Then he says, “Behold, the days are coming when I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and Judah; not according to the covenant that I made with them when I took them Bryan the nand and led them out of Egypt..”. The New Testament law of Jesus Christ’s law is not the old Jewish law—it is even nothing LIKE the old Jewish law. Not only the priesthood was changed, there was a different and better sacrifice—the perfect, holy blood if Jesus. Everythin was changed.

Hebrews 7:18–“…there is an ANNULLING of the former commandment…because the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand there is the BRINGING IN of a better hope…verse 22- Jesus has become a surety of a BETTER COVENANT (law). He’s is not just talking about the priesthood.

Hi Cameron, could you elaborate on this i would be interested in knowing more, perhaps a verse to get me started, i am in "research mode" these day.

thank you.
I would further say to look into the priesthood of Melchizedek. His priesthood is characterized as an eternal priesthood. He received Abraham's tithes and shared with Him bread and wine.
There is more there, but this is a good start.
