That was meant for humor. My sister had some pecan trees on her farm. She wasn't a pecan farmer and someone harvested her pecans (stole) every year.
I have three trees. They produce a lot of nuts, but the squirrels and woodpeckers get most of them.

That's just investing. Reap the dividends with a few good squirrel pies.

Mama makes a great squirrel and gravy. Best over homemade biscuits or rice.

Not only do we invest on pecans, we have 10 acres of pines to keep them fat.

Have you ever planted pecan pie seeds? If I had a garden I'd consider allocating at least a little space for that.
Since we're taking time and trouble to plant pecan pie seeds, I hope we'll also have room for apple pie seeds, chocolate cake seeds, and entire Thanksgiving dinner bulbs.

It's been kinda nutty around here. Over the past many years, my three sons and six grandsons have planted enough hand tools around the farm to produce enough tools to supply all the whole country.

My favorite is definitely macadamia nuts!

After macadamia would be pistachios, filberts, cashews, and Brazil nuts.
