Commies won’t admit that they are Trumpsters and vice versa. Must be a field day for the commies when realizing that they have tricked Americans voters into supporting them lol.

My goodness, both Biden and Trump have a responsibility here. It’s been two presidents ruining this country before #47. Both #45 and #46.

#42, 43 and # 44 didn’t do no good either.

Well, when you come to this point in your journey and you realize that all of this is 'vanity' as King Solomon said, then you look at Earthly affairs as entertainment because it's better to laugh than to cry and you focus on the things that matter.
The Kingdom of God.

Are they going to strengthen our Economy, or weaken it?

Are they going to drive up the cost of pretty much everything?

IMO, they are going to end up hurting the average person. Especially low income people/families. There is no way the Manufacturers are going to "eat the rising cost" of producing their product(s). They are going to do what they always do, PASS IT ON!

Honestly, I do not understand Trumps thinking on this. Tariffs never help in the way those imposing them want. Buckle up and start cutting Coupons now..... sigh ...........
I'm by no means an expert on this subject but I do understand a few things.

The current direction of our economy and national debt is not sustainable. There has to be change or eventually inflation will cause riots and economic collapse once essentials become too expensive.

Tariffs are good at forcing other countries to equal trade deals. They also create an incentive for businesses to return or invest in our economy to bypass the tariffs on imports. I saw recently that Trump is also giving a gold card incentive to bring in foreign investors.

The race has begun to control the newly accessed waterway of the artics and it has become increasingly aware that we should be striving to become a majority self-reliant country.

We must drill our own oil and rare minerals, sell to Europe to wean them off of Russian oil, and wean us off of the Chinese rare mineral monopoly. As to why a mineral deal in Ukraine would be great. If we could set up a base in Greenland to help defend the Arctic waterways, that would also help secure future trade routes.

We recently bombed the Houthis because they were attacking and disrupting a major trade route in the Red Sea.

I read somewhere that 25% of US GDP is traded goods compared to the world average of 59%. That alone gives us leverage to strong-arm better trade and a buffer for economic consumers.

As for government waste and government spending budgets, they have only tiptoed into the pool of waste that needs to be eliminated. 14 trillion dollars in debt, we can not keep spending and wasting money on departments or programs that statistically or in common sense have failed or were useless from the beginning.

Our government is bloated and the military has been hijacked by DEI, LGBT, and One World Order sympathizers.

Overall, tariffs are a great start for long-term success. Now we wait to see if Congress can do its job and secure tax breaks and eliminate the Department of Education.

Unfortunately, the long term is only sustainable with a long-term plan. A 4-year term may not be long enough to slow the train down and back it up from the cliff.

Short-term fixes and temporary comfort buys votes. No one wants to work hard and suffer the toil of hard work. We want to place the band-aids over the bullet wounds and immediately look away.

It is time we suffer for a while to give our kids and grandkids a chance at life, liberty, and the road to prosperity.

100%. Republicans will win for the next 100 years if the liberals keep letting the left run their narratives.

I thought the Bible was against mutilation?

Why would you agree to force vaccinations on people when they have laws protecting big pharma (who by the way get rich off of vaccinations AND make a lot off the transgender hoax) from any lawsuits if some of said vaccines harm people?

It's called using your brain, by your logic, if the parents approve, lets just start giving the kids coke and meth?
Okay.

Why are right wingers apparently okay with parents who refuse to get their children vaccinated, and then the children get sick and die? If it's okay for parents to do that, why isn't it okay for them to let their kids get gender reassignment surgery? I'm not okay with kids doing it behind their parents' backs, but if they have parental consent why should the government have the right to tell them they can't? I'm against abortion in every way, but it's not the government's place to tell grown people if they can or can't get an abortion. If it's a minor who doesn't have parental consent, then yeah there should be laws against that.

I thought Maga and the Republicans were supposed to be all about freedom and limited government. Seems to me every new move they make means more oppression for people. They want freedom when it's convenient for them, but not everyone else.
Yeah, conservatives literally brought measles back

Global Markets Plummet As US Ends Old Order | New Tariffs Rock The World

People living in huts with dirt floors return from the water well to read "It's our turn to prosper" Trump -- Meanwhile those working 16 hour days in sweat shops will not be able to get the news until their day off at the end of the week.

I am hearing this argument that there is no "reciprocity" in these tariffs. I feel the people saying this are incredibly naive. It is impossible to have reciprocity the way they want, you charge 10% on rice we'll charge 10% on your rice. We export things we have extra and we import things we don't have enough of. It is idiotic to think we are shipping ten tons of rice to this country while also importing ten tons of rice from them.

So some have pointed out the algorithm was based on the trade deficit. That tariff % is half the trade deficit. So then, if the trade deficit shrinks from 40% to 20% the tariffs should also shrink from 20% to 10%. The goal here is a balance of trade.

It is crucial to understand this, it doesn't matter if you are dead set against the tariffs or are ready to defend them with your blood. In the past we had a trade balance with all these countries because if there was a trade deficit they would soon run out of US dollars to buy the goods with. So our trade was exporting US dollars and importing their goods. Trump is responding to the fact that BRICS is replacing the US dollar and 40% of the world's GDP is no longer importing US dollars.

Trump is responding to the fact that US dollar is losing its reserve status and he is saying fine, if you aren't going to import US dollars then you need to have balanced trade with the US. These tariffs are not a solution to anything, they are a response to the fact that the US dollar is about to be dumped by the rest of the world.

Since the tariffs have the stock markets tanking, my trust fund check which is based on stocks was lower than it's been in years this month, The cost of my health increased because he's cutting the subsidies
Meanwhile the cost of basically everything will be increasing due to these tariffs. How exactly is it supposed to be helping working class Americans like me who live paycheck to paycheck? But at least he's owning the libs right?

Sick ad home bro. Anyway you miss the point deliberately.
Literally everything Trump has done so far has hurt my pockets. So I ask again?
How is paying more for literally everything helping working class people?
I've interacted you for years but you can go and ignore too if you want to be snarky
