Can some of you americans report to me how are the prices looking like on:
-prescription drugs
-petrol
-eggs
-food in general

Did he succesfully bring it down yet? I heard he crashed the markets on purpose. Sounds believable.
I don't know about the first three, but food in general is not down at all; probably about the same at Walmart or slightly higher for some things. No president has a magic wand to wave and prices will magically fall; but that's what he promised and he hasn't delivered at all.

I can see one scenario where he might be tanking the stock market on purpose. That would be if he wanted to make it so his wealthy buddies could jump in and buy a bunch of stock at ridiculously low prices. Then he could lift the tariffs, stock prices would go up, and they'd all make a fortune. I'm not sure sure how the stock market works though; seems like people would be asking a lot of questions. Is the president allowed to do that? Is he himself buying up stock? I can't see how that would be legal. Did Donald's buddies have inside information? I know for sure that's illegal. Seems like it would be hard to pull off and would bury the Donald in problems.

No.

I've seen people post the red X post after post against a single member. Look to see who did that and it's one person . They're a juvenile obviously but that's how that sort lashes out.

They think it hurts whomever they target. Which is the point of finding such behavior absurd amid Christians in community .
Well we can agree on something, this becomes evident when one person always uses it with the same people.
So it is more than the "content" of the post and they are not fooling anyone, the word juvenile is perfect.

Prices arnt much different. Liberals are crying about everything so the big noise gets the attention. Funny how the left was ok with inflation for 4 years with the zombie in the white house but after two months of Trump they are pulling their hair out. Market came down some are the liberal news calling it a crash? Im getting fatter everyday here in the land of the free. 🤣

Grow up.
Red Xes have no meaning besides the meaning you assign yourself. You have been complaining about them since you've been here.
They also have no meaning on your Salvation either which is the most important thing :)
Grow up.

I will respond first about the prices to the best of my knowledge.

  • Prescription drugs in USA are covered by health insurance. When one member of the family works, the rest of the family (spouse and children under 18) are covered by the health insurance family plan.
When you have this option, you pay anywhere from $15 -50 out of pocket on medications that you get at the pharmacy.
The medication itself may cost anywhere from $100 - $10,000, but that’s the part that the health insurance pays. You pay only $15-50 out of pocket.
Health insurance is usually obtained when one has a job in USA. The company that hires you, also gives you health insurance which you pay weekly. Plans range from $100 -$300 week depending on the coverage that you want which can also include international coverage.

For the folks that don’t have health insurance such as the elderly who are the next major group of the population that doesn’t work, they either get health insurance from their pensions or retirements savings such as 401K or they get government-assisted help with programs such as Medicare or Medicaid, which are federal programs across all united states.
An elderly person is someone considered anywhere from 62-68 years old depending on the rules and regulations of each state and the programs in place.

Then for the next group of the population that is not elderly and who don’t have a job, they are sort of ‘on their own’.
Different states do different things for their citizens to address this. For example, my state has a universal healthcare program for all citizens. This means that anyone with residency here, gets healthcare when you’re not elderly and when you don’t have a job.

Healthcare coverage in US is not as good as in Europe but that’s because Europe doesn’t pay 1 trillion dollars a year to fund their military.
Also the priority and the triage of the patients in Europe is not as fast as in USA. What’s covered better in Europe is out of pocket costs, IF you choose the free option, which some people don’t because of the long wait times in state hospitals.
Also the same doctor that works in a state hospital in Europe usually ends up being the same doctor who works down the private clinic that he owns himself.

  • Petrol.
Gas in United States is usually very cheap compared to Europe and the respective salaries of the people in each continent.
Americans here have been complaining about a steady increase in gas over the course of 2 decades, but most of them don’t realize that the gas here is cheaper than Europe mainly because of the gallon to liter conversion.
For example back in the late 90s and early 00s, gas was around one dollar per gallon. This means that according to European measurements (while factoring in average salaries) you would pay 1 Euro for 4 liters (almost).
Since then (90s) gas has increased to 3-4 dollars per gallon (or higher) depending where you are.
If you are closer to the cities or in the city gas is more expensive (maybe 5 per gallon or higher).
When you go away from the city and in smaller towns gas becomes a lot cheaper.

Compared to Greece for example where 1 liter is 2 euros, it would mean that the American consumer would pay close to or an average of 10 dollars per gallon!
We also need to factor-in that the average salary in Greece is $30,000 a year while the average salary in USA is $60-$70,000 a year.

  • Eggs.

The prices of eggs have not changed drastically but what has changed is the amount of the eggs that the supermarkets allow (depending on the supermarket, city and town).
The shelves have been empty in some of the supermarkets I go to, because people buy like 10 boxes of eggs. So now, in a lot of places they have put a limit on one box per customer to allow others to have eggs too.

Here are the prices of eggs on some major retailers in United States.
    (One box includes 12 eggs)

This is a retailer which is a bit expensive: Eggs | Trader Joe's

This is a retailer which is more expensive: https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/product/pete-and-gerrys-organic-large-eggs-12-eggs-b00f0znk8e

  • Again, compared to some places in Europe while factoring-in the salaries in both continents these prices are very good.

Food in general is cheaper in USA, but the restaurants are more expensive here compare to Europe usually. Again factoring-in the salaries.
Restaurants are also more expensive here because the customer is “expected” to leave the waitress a 20% tip of the overall final price, which is why Americans are the best customers in Europe in restaurants after you guys take their money and call them fat.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

That is true I have to agree with you on that. It is convenient how it goes. But thats just politics now innit. "Our guy" can do no wrong, "their guy" does nothing but wrong.

America is just as surveilled as any other country, they just think they are not.
Strength, they have not won a war since WW II and the Russians did most of the heavy lifting.

But you desperately want credit from them that you (Canadians) have helped the "weak" Americans right?

It will take sometime for the effect of the tariffs to cause the prices to rise.
Everything can still change but if things stay the same the prices by necessity will go up, some companies may absorb the cost for awhile but that is not sustainable over time so the tax will be downloaded to the consumer on the imported goods.

Retail has been fully pavloved by the last two years.

There was so much short put gamma that any selloff always rocketed back. Those short puts are buried and gone. If this keeps going down they will capitulate as well and we will get something like 2020. Otherwise 2022.

The smart folks are starting to buy. Buy low sell high. Some ride it out. The not so smart sell because they are convinced ( marxist news always spread fear ) its the end of the world. See? The left spreads fear and tries to convince everyone that only government can save them. Oil spills destroying all sea life by the year 2000 (90's). global warming (early 2000'), global cooling,(mid 2000's) climate change (2020's), on and on, now the markets are going to crash. Notice too how only the communist party can save us all. And somehow the mummy in chief precided over the worst 4 years since Carter. Fear is the lefts cash cow.
