tldr: What kind of attachments would you want for a phone?

There is a phone called an HMD Fusion. It has two tricks.

The first trick is, you can take it apart and replace the camera, screen, battery, whatever if it breaks or wears out. Replacement parts are pretty cheap too. They claim they want to make a phone you will keep for a few years.

The second trick is, the whole back plate can be swapped out for a different one that does different stuff. The plain one is clear so you can see the phone circuits behind it. Then there's one with a ring light for selfies. There's also one that has buttons on it, so you can hold your phone like a game controller and play video games.

If you had a phone with a back that swapped out, what would you want to snap onto your phone?

Dream big.

I already have a few ideas. One is of course an extra battery pack for longer phone life. Another is a laser projector to cast the phone screen on the wall. Both are possible with current technology, if someone will just put them into an HMD Fusion phone plate.

But the big one I wish someone would make... Is a propeller set. :D

I wish someone would make a back plate with propellers, that obeyed simple voice commands.
"Phone. Come." And the phone flies up and toward you.
"Phone. Heel." And the phone follows you around.
(Pointing.) "Phone. Sit." And the phone flies over to the table you pointed at and lands.

That would be ideal. I would then want my phone to look like Tinkerbell.

I've had my galaxy note20 for some time now and just noticed that there's a Penup app designed around the use of its stylus, after 3 years!

I misread this as, "just noticed that there's a PRENUP app..." and thought to myself, "Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to sign a Pre-nup with their phones..." :geek::whistle::cool::LOL:

Now there's a novel idea that would have interest a fairly sized market. :D

When I was looking through new stocks to invest in, a 'wearable' technology came up. So far, the only thing that I've seen materialize in that category are in the form of a wristwatch, but this company was exploring the possibility of things like t-shirts. The star trek shirts come to mind. It seems that I'm recalling them tapping the emblem on it before saying, "Beam me up, Scotty."
Some sort of phone holster would do for now.

So can anybody else think of anything you would like attached to your phone?

Can I have a gadget that will do my makeup and maybe fix my hair?
I don't know anything about makeup, but maybe a switchblade comb could be useful.

Not even kidding, my barber used to have a switchblade comb. My grandfather gave it to him. My grandfather was a real joker.

I can picture a phone back panel with a switchblade comb hiding in it. That would work.

Lol!

This reminds me of the scene in The Fifth Element where Leeloo is given a makeup box by one of the monks/priests she's staying with (kind of ironic that a man of the cloth would promote something that centers on the external, but, of course, the whole movie was one a big, bonkers fashion show.)

And Chanel was one of the movie's sponsors, so of course they had to work in that product placement (in closer photos, the Chanel logo is clearly on the outside of the "box.")

I can't say I would turn one down though.

I tend to go for the "No-Makeup Makeup Look" and it's mind-numbing how long and how many products that can take to achieve (any fellow peeps who struggle with rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, etc. know what I'm talking about.)

If my phone or a camera-like device could give me instant results instead of that 20+ minutes of careful layering and blending it usually takes?

Show me where to sign up! (And mega bonus points if it does hair, too.)

Nay, that’s not what I meant. I want a phone that actually does my makeup and fix my hair. Not some lame switchblade comb hiding in it.😂😂😂

Alas, I beg your pardon, ma'am, but being from the North, I was obviously thinking too small.

Excuse me while I just get out of the way and leave it to a gal from Texas to think up the REAL solutions we ladies all need!

I guess we all need phones that come with these!
