I admit that there are so many light shows and they make it seem like a rock concert but what really gets to me is the way people worship. what I mean can be best explained by a quick story, my mom took me to her church and they sang old hymns not my type of music to begin with but what really got to me was how everyone was just singing along like they were going through the motions

It gave me a very distrubing feeling inside like the spirit was saying this is not worshipping in spirit and truth U actually couldn't stay and left the place soon after

When you are worshipping God truly worshipping your body cannot sit still you want to dance raise your hands move and worship him even with your body your hands cannot reach to heaven high enough there is life and true joy in it you can do it for days on ened if you were able to.

That is true worship not these light shows not these rock concerts and not the hymn sing along either
You talk of a person I knew that went to church, was deaf and could not talk well
He saw the people moving and talking and then tried imitating them all
That today happened in Flesh and God's Spirit and Truth
Not hearing truth in god's spirit and Truth, only wanting acceptance from others, so we tend to imitate and not see new, at least me I saw that happened in me in my earthly walk at first
I think that is what you are saying and thank you

What you are referring to, is actually 'the witching hour' and not bewitching. To bewitch, means to be controlled or affected by something/someone which is what Paul meant by his reference to the Judaizers. As Paul said, having begun by the Holy Spirit, how is it you now think that physical adherence to the law will complete your Christian journey (my words but basically what is being said in fewer words)

The 'witching hour' has its roots in superstition and not reality but giving credence to such things can lead to the evil spiritual realm being only to glad to co-operate with your imagination. In the dark, any noise can give way to thoughts of something creeping around your house when it is probably actually creeping around your imagination.

Understanding what the Bible has to say about not imagining vain things and renewing our minds with scripture will go a long way to 'warding off' these 'experiences'. Having said that, I am positive some will prefer to ruminate on the great and mysterious ways of the devil appearing in your bedroom at 3 in the morning.

You can get rid of anything that frightens you and sleep peacefully and well but it does take some effort as in RENEWING your mind.
This "bewitching hour I'm speaking about is the falling away of the church. Christians are being led astray by the millions.

This "bewitching hour I'm speaking about is the falling away of the church. Christians are being led astray by the millions.
But you started yr op with:

The "bewitching hour" generally refers to a period of the night, often associated with folklore and supernatural beliefs, where it's believed the veil between the living and the spirit world is thin. While traditionally linked to the time around midnight or 3 AM, the term can also refer to a more figurative late-night time when mysterious or exciting things are said to happen.
which is what I responded to.

On the other hand, I do agree that 'believers' are being drawn away from the truth by their own desires which are in opposition to scripture:

But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire. James 1:14

We also have the reference to itching ears. It is not easy to go against the common flow of others even if they call themselves believers

James 1 verses 14-15; 1 John 2 verse 16 Each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. For all that is in the world- the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not from the Father but from the world. .:)

Many times in life we will not believe unless we see it with our own eyes. This has happened to me many times in my short little life.
When a christian is warned first, The Holy Spirit can bring these things back to our remeberance, confirming the warning is true. :)

You might want to look up the history of the movie. The exorcist is considered one of the most cursed films ever produced. When it first came out a it was reported that a Sunday school teacher had become demon possessed as she watched the movie. It was in the news paper.

Deaths:
  • Jack MacGowan: Died shortly after filming, from complications of the flu.

  • Vasiliki Maliaros: Played Father Karras's mother and died before the movie's release.

  • William O'Malley: While not an actor, he was a Jesuit priest who died before the movie's release.

  • Other deaths: Several other crew members and cast members, including an assistant cameraman's newborn and a night watchman, also died during production.
Injuries:
  • Linda Blair: Suffered a back injury, which led to scoliosis and ongoing pain.

  • Ellen Burstyn: Injured her back during a scene where she was pulled by a cable wire.

  • Other injuries: A crew member lost a toe, while a carpenter lost his thumb.
Fire:
  • A major fire on set caused significant delays and damage.
Other incidents:
  • Several cast and crew members experienced other accidents and incidents during production.
  • Some people believed there was a curse on the set.

Oh, sorry, I was using Google to find "bewitching hour" & that's what I got. When I read the last part, "the term can also refer to a more figurative late-night time when mysterious or exciting things are said to happen." I immediately saw how this matches the time we're living in & thought about the scripture Jesus talks about when "night comes, where no man can work", & Gal. 3, where Paul asks "who hath bewitched you?". In my mind's eye I saw how the last days ARE a type of bewitching hour the church is now facing.
I hope that made sense.:)

I have had experiences like that, but it doesn't happen every time I worship(I wish it did).
It also happens on different "levels" where sometimes it's humbling & leads to prophecy or tongues & interpretation & other times it's glorious like Heaven came down & all you can do is praise God. Other times it leads to prayer & repentence/reconciliation/renewal.

Do you think the church is living in dark days where mysterious & exciting things are dominating them & steering them from the truth?[/QUOTE]

Depends on the denominational paradigm you ascribe to.

Some Denominational paradigms are deep into paganism, false traditions, and "magic ceremonies".

Other Denominational paradigms are more bound to Biblical truths, and spiritual reality.

The "ONE TRUE CHURCH", however, is that spiritual body comprised exclusively of Born Again Christians, from the beginning to the present. Its members are found in visible denominational systems in varying levels of concentration.

Hey I don't think the way the OP talks about bewitched is what Paul was saying here. As strongs says "fascinated" or "give a eye to".

I like the true story of a witch that was showing this preacher all the things all the power he had. Showed all the news paper clips so forth so on. Then the witch leans in and says to the preacher "what can your God do?" The preacher said lord? Nothing.. preacher said lord please say something. The lord said "don't put me to some stupid test". Then that boldness comes.. sweet holy Spirit and stands telling that witch one of these days those demons are coming for you.. who will turn to then?

Its lies.. its deceiving wonders.

It seems that there is different kinds of forms of worship sometimes mine is like what I described other times my soul is calm and serene just thanking him over and over again. I wish I spoke in tongues even once just to worship him from deep within my soul

You don't need to speak in tongues to worship deeply.

I have seen supernatural phenomenon and yes most of it happens at night, so there is some truth to it. The problem though is that the spirits and devils want veneration, and they will get it from Christian who will never summon them through obessession with demonology and ghosts.

As Chip Ingram says, "Be prepared for spiritual warfare, but not preoccupied with it. When an attack comes, be ready to battle, but do not go looking for a demon under every bush." (The Invisible War).
“so there is some truth to it. “

definitely just a matter of what those forces do and how they attack a person

“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

…..And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:6, 22-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you know my sister is a wiccan and she does her work around 12 am or three am so there seems to be something about that time that has some sort of relevance to it

I already stated that the hours mentioned, have their roots in superstition. Maybe do some research. Do you pray about what yr sister is up to? Bind those demons? Rebuke them in Jesus name? But don't do that if you are weak in your faith about such things or you will pay for it

Amen. I speak in tongues but I am up to here with people thinking it will somehow give them a high or whatever. If they think that, they do not understand what the gifts are actually for.

pay for it? no, we have the authority in Christ the illusion that any demons have power is just that an illusion if one understands the authoirty Christ has given us in his name then no demon has any power over us they are weak and pathetic creatures lower than us in Christ.
I have tried to pray for her but she is set in her ways she will not recieve Christ but I have sent demons back to hell because she hates me and has sent curses against me all to no avail because I have Christ in me there is no power she or any demon has that can stand against those in Christ

Demons have the power people, including believers, give them. You are sadly ignorant of what scripture states if you think once you become a believer its a one and done. YOU cannot send demons anywhere. ANY authority over them a believer has is in the name of the One who defeated the devil and his kingdom.

You have 'tried' to pray for her? First you state that yr sister does her 'magic' during certain hrs and now you say you sent the demons back to hell. You know, I honestly do not care much anymore about all the different and incorrect ways people think they have some kind of protocol from God to deal with the devil, but I do care for those who are actually struggling against things that hold them captive even though they believe.

Jesus paid the price.
