OATH: No More Putting God in a Box
A Personal Commitment to Trust the Unlimited Power and Will of God
Have you ever caught yourself saying or thinking something like:
Here’s a thought:
What if we’ve been putting God in a box?
Not on purpose. Not out of rebellion.
But maybe out of fear… doubt… tradition… or just forgetting how limitless He really is.
This isn't a guilt trip.
It's a wake-up call — for all of us.
Not to shame ourselves, but to stretch our faith, honor God's greatness, and start praying, living, and believing like we truly know who He is.
So I offer this oath — not as a rule, but as a response.
To say: “God, I don’t want to limit You anymore. I want to trust You fully and ask boldly — according to Your will.”
Part 1 — What I Choose to Ask For: The Things God WANTS Me to Ask
These are things God has made clear in His Word that He desires for us to pursue, pray for, and live out.
Part 2 — Acknowledging What God CAN Do: Letting Go of Limits
Here’s where we stretch our minds a bit.
Not everything below is something we must pray for — but all of it reminds us:
✝️ My Final Declaration
I don’t want to live like I serve a small God.
I don’t want to keep Him in a box made by fear, tradition, doubt, or human logic.
I want to believe Him for everything He’s able to do — and walk in everything He’s called me to.
So today, I choose to take this oath:
A Personal Commitment to Trust the Unlimited Power and Will of God
Have you ever caught yourself saying or thinking something like:
“That’s too big to pray for…”
“I don’t think God would really do that…”
“It’s probably not possible…”
“I don’t think God would really do that…”
“It’s probably not possible…”
Here’s a thought:
What if we’ve been putting God in a box?
Not on purpose. Not out of rebellion.
But maybe out of fear… doubt… tradition… or just forgetting how limitless He really is.

- To live like Jesus

Mark 12:30 — “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” - To love others — including my enemies
Mark 12:31 — “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 5:44 — “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you…” - To forgive — without exception

Mark 16:17-18 — “These signs will follow those who believe… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” - To pray for revival — that God would heal the land
2 Chronicles 7:14 — “If My people… humble themselves and pray… I will hear from heaven and heal their land.” - To expose darkness, not make peace with it
Ephesians 5:11 — “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” - To ask boldly, knowing nothing is impossible with God
Luke 1:37 — “For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Ephesians 3:20 — “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…”
Part 2 — Acknowledging What God CAN Do: Letting Go of Limits
Here’s where we stretch our minds a bit.
Not everything below is something we must pray for — but all of it reminds us:
God is not small.
He is not limited.
And we shouldn’t be afraid to believe for BIG things, because He is a BIG God.
He is not limited.
And we shouldn’t be afraid to believe for BIG things, because He is a BIG God.
- God can restore lands, ecosystems, and even entire planets if He chooses
Isaiah 51:3 — “He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord…” - God can bring back extinct animals, if He desires
Job 12:10 — “In His hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.”
Ezekiel 37:6 — “I will put sinews on you… and you shall live.” - God can create entirely new creatures, species, or lifeforms for His glory
Isaiah 65:17 — “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth…” - God can cleanse pollution, heal the environment, and reverse decay
Romans 8:21 — “The creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption…” - God can stop storms, move mountains, and override nature’s laws
Mark 4:39 — “He arose and rebuked the wind… and there was a great calm.” - God can bring life to what’s dead — physically, emotionally, spiritually
Ezekiel 37:5 — “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.” - God can give wisdom and even technology to help lead people to Him
Proverbs 8:12 — “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” - God can create from nothing — speaking things into existence
Romans 4:17 — “God… calls those things which do not exist as though they did.”
- To trust the God of the impossible.
- To ask for what He desires.
- To dream bigger and believe bolder.
- To stop boxing in the One who created the heavens and the earth.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God,
Amen.
Amen.
