St. Peters
Hey there! This discussion is to get to know one another and if you want to be my friend you can follow me. If you want to chat with me other ways then direct message me.

I'll start: I am 20, live in St. Peters Missouri, studying graphic design online/student at Truman State University, I love being outside, I love Jesus and fellowship, I love to eat food, I like to run/workout. I also like drawing and doing some photography. My photography isn't a professional thing more just a hobby and I take pictures of clouds and I have a micro lens attachment to take pictures of small things. I also go to 2Rivers Church in O'Fallon Missouri and I am part of a small group.

Feel free to tell me as much or as little as you'd like. This is a safe space.

Hi @SadieH!

I apologize that I don't have time to write more, as I will soon be leaving for work, but I just wanted to say that I've really enjoyed watching you hop right in and write several of your own threads!

It's rare to see people writing threads here, and always a delight to see. :)

I'm looking forward to reading many more of your threads and posts in the future!

Welcome to CC, and I hope your time here is a blessing. 🙏🏼

Wow pictures of clouds!
I take pictures of rainbows when I see them in the sky.

I'm Lanolin and come from the Land of the Long White Cloud, and I don't really want to tell you my exact age, am much older than you...I fellowship wherever God leads me, I am part of some small groups, one only has a couple of ladies but when two or three are gathered in His name, He's in the midst.

I like eating food but I don't like running, I prefer walking, or dancing.

Hey miss Sadie, you have a beautiful smile! Great to have you here 🙂

My inner mom/youth chaperone is kinda freaking out that you've posted your city and home church info. We have some awesome members here BUT your posts and picture will be visible to anyone with an internet connection. Lovely young ladies such as yourself need to be a little cautious online, maybe only reveal that info privately once you get to know a person. If you are having second thoughts about posting the info, @Oncefallen might be able to remove it for you. We just want you to be safe 🙂.

Welcome to the site, sorry for the doomsaying lol and I hope you enjoy your time here! 💛

Yea, Snackersmom is right please don't give all your personal details online. We older ones know that's not always a good idea.
I mean I'm ok with mentioning my city cos it's a big one, but I wouldn't put my suburb or home church info. just for privacy reasons. if someone really wanted to find me they could, but even so, I would meet them in a public place first. Just be careful.

Hi
I'm Michael
Irish but living in England
I don't have much of a résumé
Infact my "sin" led even murderers to consider me as scum
But
Fortunately for me
Jesus
Had other ideas
And translated me from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light
Not only as adopting me as his child
But
The inevitable that follows
Co-heir with Christ
Someone who would argue with paul as to who is considered by others as the cheif of sinners
Anyway
Welcome to this site
Which I guess is of God
As He is in control of all things
May The Spirit of Pure Love fill your heart and guide your mind

I appreciate all of your responses. I am totally aware of the dangers of being online. However I feel safe enough to share my hometown and church. I just want to find some connections from others all around. And it’s totally okay if you don’t want share, what you feel safe posting is up to you. Excited to meet you all!

mm ok you more open than me, maybe I just had bad experiences. Though I've made some good friends, I don't always feel safe, not just online, but living in the city. Maybe it helps if you are not a minority? idk.

Oh
I thought you had responded personally
But I read a generic response
I'm sorry
That "distance" is not for me
I pray The Spirit of Pure Love fill your heart and guide your mind

Nope
I delight in my minority
Nothing in God's whole universe is a clone
Everything is entirely unique
From snow flakes to each blade of grass
Yes even planets and stars
Please don't try to fit in
Or fear anyone or anything
Just be the you God created you to be

It can be a blessing or a curse. Not fitting in I mean. Now I'm older I can see it as a good thing, but when I was younger it was def not in some circumstances.

I know all about being older lol
But seriously
Being your self is the door
And realising that the "self" is actually the enemy is the key that opens the door

Uh ok not sure what you mean by self being the enemy is the key

Thought Jesus gave people the keys to the Kingdom if they recognised who He was.

Alrighty. It's good to know you have never been stalked 👍.

Just speaking from the other side of the coin, sites like this are a haven for those with mental illness or obsessive disorders. Which is great for ministry and fellowship, it's good to have all types but it can be REALLY hard to convince someone with an obsessive disorder that you are not available to them. Having them show up in person to try to convince you is especially terrifying. I would advise only posting that you live in the general area of St. Louis, that is plenty of info for a potential connection.

I just want you to always have control over whether you meet someone, if they show up at your church unannounced you won't have that control. And it could even be someone you have never interacted with here on the site. A lovely smile and sweet spirit are precious gifts but require some safeguarding 🙏.

I know I sound neurotic but I am speaking from personal experience!

Nope
In recognising Him
You immediately recognised yourself
That's how you realise you need Him
Not in some obscure way
But in a way that reaches the very heart
For our of the human heart flows all kinds of wickedness
Or words to that effect
Not out of some hearts but not others
His words are precise
Out of the human heart
It's ok
I'm no preacher or pastor or teacher
So feel free to ignore me
I'm just stating my experience that has "caused" my understanding
I am definitely my own worst enemy 😞 .
Allelujah
Exactly my dear mothers words when I was a child
Accepting them as an adult
Truly opens the door to the kingdom of heaven
Suddenly
The enemy is not someone out there
It is within
And is summed up in perfect childlike language in the number one hit performed by bucks fizz
The second verse says
" There's something nasty in your garden
Waiting, patiently, til it can have your heart"
But for us
Just like "the little one" in the same song
We run for the sun
Allelujah
Recognising the enemy is real revelation God has blessed you my friend

U too ❤️

Well a friend of the world is an enemy of God, but God so loved the world He sent his only begotten son...and you know the rest.

I am not a pastor/teacher either. Just another believer.

When everything's meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Howdy and welcome to the forum. My name is isaac. I'm a 47-year-old guy down here in deepinaharta, Southwest tennessee.

I'm a music nerd to the extreme. Don't start a conversation about music unless you have a few days to kill.

I am a 45-year-old man from Finland, living in the countryside. Prayer is an important part of my daily life, which is why my profile picture shows a pair of clasped hands. It is also the very first thing I do each morning.

After work, I enjoy going for walks, and during the summer I like spending time out on a boat in the archipelago. In the evenings, I often sit at the piano, playing and singing hymns.

I enjoy playing with children and spending time with them. Yesterday, when I visited my parents, my brother’s daughter was there, and she happily insisted that I lift and toss her onto the bed again and again.

I value both sincerity and a sense of humor in everyday life.
