I'm a young adult male (age 24), and really wish my like was different.
Growing up, things were just plain. I didn't live in poverty, so I guess there's some gladness, but I didn't live wealthy either. Had a pretty good family (except my dad), very good Christian mom, and lots of brothers. But I was the youngest in the family, so as a consequence of everyone being older, I was kinda "left behind" (not literally).
As I get into the teenage years in the mid to late 2010s, I'd say that I became more unhappy. Things just weren't really what I wanted. Life just felt "stale" I guess (can't explain it), and this was around the time I ran away from home (didn't work)
Around 2020 is when the world collapsed. I was about to turn 18 and become a legal adult. I was looking forward to finally improving my life maybe meeting my new friend I met on social media (same age as me), and perhaps going out on dates with cute girls (never happened)... But instead I got COVID lockdowns, an out of control police force and riots/protests... Rising crime, rising prices and inflation, etc.
It seemed like everything normal about life was changed right when I wanted to finally enjoy my life. It seems like at the moment I was ready for something new, ready to try things, and see the world like any teenager would want to, God (don't know who else to blame) decided to begin what I believe are the "final times" or the last days that's spoken of in the Bible. But of course I could be wrong.
A few years pass, and I make a few more friends on social media. I make a few mistakes and lose 3 friends, but at least I still have others.
Now in 2026, I still don't feel happy. My life hasn't really improved. I'm still single and a virgin, I'm still living in my mom's house, I have no car, little money, and can't get much more.
Growing up we had a few dogs, but they all died. My dad also died around 2022, and the world around seems to be getting worse every year. I constantly look online to see what's going on, and I see that I'm priced out of the housing market, priced out of the car market (which is my favorite, because I'm a car enthusiast)...I don't know where all the good women are at (I'm not really ready for a relationship though), and overall I just don't know what to do.
I don't know why, but I feel like God is partially responsible for the way my life is. He knows everything, he created everything, so he should understand how I feel. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm being selfish, idk .. But I feel like no one cares about what I think. My life doesn't feel important, and when I watch people happy and enjoying themselves, I feel a bit of agitation.
The world moves on, and I'm standing still.
It is what it is I guess
