Does anyone like mozzarella. I have some in a pottle, and I don't really know what to do with it. It looks like white little round curds in some sort of brine.
I am not used to this sort of cheese. I got it from the foodbank, they were giving it away because its past the best before date. But it's still sealed. I've got it in the fridge.

The other cheese I have is a block of organic cheddar and that lasts for about a month or two, depending.

So yes, I have plenty of cheese. I eat it nearly every day, with crackers.

Is there enough cheese for everyone? 🧀

This has been an awesome thread -- welcome to CC! :)

I see everyone has been listing their favorite (and not so favorite) cheeses.

However, the MOST IMPORTANT cheese question is...

Does cheese taste better -- when it's stolen??!!

I wonder if @Tazzo, our resident cheese hoarder, er, I mean, expert, is still out there.

Perhaps we can summon her into this thread!! 😍

My cat Fluffy loved cheese
If you wanted to make her smile, you gave her cheese.

Chesdale slices were her favourite.

My mozzarella cheese is labelled 'cherry mozzarella' and it's won a gold medal.

It's this one. Dang when I looked at the images online it's supposed to be paired with cherry tomatoes and I don't have any.

Yes, mozzarella has some unique uses. One of which is, no matter what you're eating, like an open-faced ham sandwich, you can put moz on top and brown it in a toaster oven (or oven) for extra flavor. You can add it to frozen pizza for extra cheese. Some people like to melt moz on top of cook veggies or other dishes, even soup.

Eat it by itself, or with fresh tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil...
Naples area has the best.

I'd offer Chef's recipe for tomato marmalade, but it's not mine to dispense at liberty, but you can probably find a thousand recipes available online that you can choose from. Then, slice a baguette and lay them out on a cookie sheet, season with salt and pepper and drizzle them with olive oil then lightly toast them in the oven. Then you can construct an amuse bouche, crostini topped with tomato marmalade and cherry mozzarella (in whatever order you prefer). And you might slice the mozzarella in half to remedy its tendency to roll, or use enough marmalade to form a cradle that the ball can nest in.

??
Ok, I can find cherry tomatoes easy at the supermarket. They'd be hothouse ones though, tomato season is OVAH
But where will I find crostoni? Or fresh basil at this time of year? (winter)
