Husband and I wanted to go to Scotland but didnt have passports or, yknow, money. Instead we went to an event that was near us called the Highland Games. I got horribly sunburned because I forgot, as a redhead, I need sunscreen. So I looked like a lobster for a few days.I have not even thought of the honeymoon!
Maybe I'm being nosy, but now am curious where married couples go for their honeymoons. They have to go somewhere don't they? Or at least somewhere thats not their marital home, IDK, so they can step over the threshold after their honeymoon...tradition is the Groom has to carry the bride in, literally, through the door.
Because who has a bed already prepared? Where do they get this from? New beds are expensive, I mean at least $1000 for a new mattress. My brother paid something like $10,000 for a King size bed, and he's not even married or seeing anyone. (That I know of! )

Weddings are way too expensive. My daughter and son in law borrowed for a fancy wedding and 9 years later, they were still in debt. I know weddings are supposed to be a highlight. However, if that is the best day of your life, everything else is an anticlimax.hmm be interested in what people think 2 years later, whether marriage is still expensive or just the wedding.
I mean the cost of buying a house is still not cheap, even though its gone down but you'll be living in a block of terrace flats, or an apartment, not an actual house for your 'first home'.
What about trades for the ladies?Weddings are way too expensive. My daughter and son in law borrowed for a fancy wedding and 9 years later, they were still in debt. I know weddings are supposed to be a highlight. However, if that is the best day of your life, everything else is an anticlimax.
The cost of living is absurd. People are putting off having children as a result. Now there are countries like Japan, Korea and China where there are labour shortages that hurt the economy. I'm real glad that I'm not starting out as a young adult.
My advice to young people is to get a trade. It will be a long time before AI and robots can replace a plumber or electrician.
After we married our auto insurance rates decreased. We were told it is because the insurance industry considers us to be adults now.I often come across couples who arent married but just live together, and they might be together for many years, even have children and buy a house together. But they just arent married. And when I ask why, the most common reason given is its too expensive to get married.
Is it really?
And sometimes its even christian believers who say this.
So how are we to think of marriage is it only for the rich? Only if the hsuband is willing to provide for his household, what does this say about people who dont marry yet live like they are married. They are too poor? Can weddings be cheaper or why not just register at an office. Or does it all need to be done in church. Why is it so expensive? People say they'd rather spend the money on a house. But what does that say about priorities? Have a wedding, be married and be homeless, or not marry and have a roof over your head. Can one have both?
Here's a simple table categorized by, policy type, what the coverage is best for, and the key characteristics of each policy type.Confession - I have no idea how life insurance works.
News reported Taylor Swift, a billionaire, spent over 30 million on her wedding.if two people want to get married and commit to one another then they will find a way.a guy working on my home recently told me his son had got married the week before and it cost him forty grand.really.
I said people. Last I saw, women are people also. We've had electrical work done recently and it was by a woman. She was just as good as anyone else we've used. I have some idea. My wife's late husband was an Electrical contractor. I worked with him from time to time. What about trades for the ladies?
Shouldn't both be contributing to the cost of living? Or can you live on one income?
