Render Caesar's to Caesar and God's to God. Maybe dating is God's to you, but not to me. Any carnal desire is on your own, don't spiritualize it with any Christian label.

At this point, I'm confident that it's not for you. That's fine. Not everyone desires marriage, and nobody is required to get married. But not everyone is like you. Paul had no desire to get married, either. But Paul also conceded that not everyone is like him, and allowed marriage.

In Genesis we see that God created woman for man and man for woman. Was God "spiritualizing marriage"? The author of Hebrews (possibly Paul) called marriage "honorable among all" and contrasted it with fornication and adultery. The author also mentions the marriage bed being "undefiled." So the Bible celebrates sex as an expression of marital love.

In Hebrews 13, we see both adultery and fornication contrasted with what happens in the marriage bed. Marriage (and sexual within marriage) is called "honorable." All other types of sexual activity are condemned as immoral and as things that will bring God’s judgment.

The desire for sex is not inherently carnal. Though we can certainly fulfill it in carnal ways. For example, by having premarital sex.

God didn't, you did. Im not here to argue with you on marriage, man, all that I'm saying is that there's no endorsement in the bible for modern dating, it simply didn't exist back then. Adam didn't ask God for a mate, God made one for him.

I guess we should re-institute the Jewish bride-price, the betrothal, and the groom building an addition to his father's house, then? if having a "Western" wedding somehow involved actual sin, then, yeah, I get why we shouldn't do it. Does it, though? :LOL:

All I know is that God didn't institute dating app, casual sex, purity culture or other stuffs in that nature.

Nope, marriage is ordained by God, dating is ordained by your own hormones, unless I missed it somewhere in either the bible or church doctrines that God instructed Adam to take Eve out for dinner and movie.

OK. Say I wanted to find a partner to marry. But I can't do it via dating.

What method would you recommend, specifically?

Back to op, one thing we should be careful is content with whatever situation God put us in. Don't jump ahead of God.

Let's say if there is no interested Christian singles around us, don't go out and date unbelievers. Especially for those deep in faith.

Let's say if one is separated from spouse, this one really is not single in God's term, don't even start looking. Going out and date is crossing the healthy boundary.

Let's say if someone had a casual secular divorce, not really biblical reason, and former spouse is still single. Don't date this kind of people, or be very careful, talk to pastors, church friends first, seek their advice. We don't want to end it up marrying someone else's biblical spouse.
 
Do everything in the Lord, that's the key. We are free in the Lord and should live by faith. That can be hard to grasp sometimes in this fallen world.

1 Corinthians 7​

27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

Don't ask me and don't blame me for that. Ask the pastors who prioritize on married couples and blame the worldly culture.
