No, I don't have anything. Just a macbook. I don't have any games on it.
I used to have some games on the ipad, but that was years ago now, I had The Simpsons (sandbox game I think it was) and you went round Springfield doing Simpsony things.

Not sure I want to spend that much on a console to play one game. Do you play or share your games with other people? What do you do with all the games you don't play anymore...keep them or give them away? Swap them? IDK, what do gamers do, I mean, if you are serious about it, do you have huge collections and buy every upgrade?
Youtube is a great place if you want to experience the game but don't have the cash for it. Look up the let's play for it.
For example, the game "Crosscode." Go to youtube and look for "Let's play Crosscode."

Oh shoot um... See the whole thing about video games is that they take hours and hours. A game that only takes one or two hours is generally not a good thing. They BRAG about games that take weeks and months to play.
If you want just the story alone, go to youtube and look for something like "game" "movie" "cutscenes." Like, "Mortal Kombat 11 cutscene movie." For the more famous games people have actually recorded off all the cutscenes (the cinematic parts that tell the story) and pasted them together into a movie.
Shoot, even the Mad Max game has a cutscene movie on youtube. I wouldn't recommend watching that particular one, but somebody took the time to stick all the cutscenes together for it.
Well, based on a book? Those do exist but you said Halo doesn't appeal to you so I'm not sure what genres you're looking for.
If all you have is a Macbook then your options are very limited.
Based on the other posts you made, it looks as though you're looking for things with a lghter subject matter like the Pikmin Series, but since you only have a Mac Book, thats a no go for now.
honestly, I don't know what games Mac Os can run, maybe there's a separate Store that I don't see at the moment?
Well I had a look in the Warehouse, and there was a Switch, it cost $499 and a Switch 2 for $949
Hello Kitty Adventure cost $89 for Switch so I shelled out $587 for both

Well...in Apps on my mac I had a look at my -never-been-touched before Arcade tab and it looked like you could have one month free, than $12.99 a month to play Apple Arcade games
And they did have Hello Kitty Island Adventure...but I can't connect

First of all, what country do you live in and second of all, is that a scalper?
Do you know what a scalper is? they're people who buy things in bulk and then try to resell them at double the price, which is awful.
I bought mine I think for $499.
Also when you say you have a Macbook, what's the model because I think Macbook is a Brand and not a model nor make.

Macbook Pro Retina 13 inch I think. I can't remember what I paid for it, but Macs are not cheap either even second hand. I paid something like $350 for a second hand Iphone (wasn't ever used, my brother for some reason had an extra one) and that was XS.

Ok so, you have NZD which is New Zealand Dollars and not USD, $900 NZD is around $500 USD so that would mean the NZD is weaker than the USD, but not only that but it looks like New Zealand got hit with a price jump this month so everything Nintendo is more expensive.
Also for your Mac Book, what year is the Macbook Pro Retina 13 ? So far it looks very low end but I think Apple has a native version for that game that might run on your Mac Book.

So, uhh... when you say 4Gb of memory, is it storage space or RAM?
Because I'm suspicious that's what that is, a 2013 laptop with only 4GB of storage seems impossibly small so that's gotta be RAM.
Also, hanging onto a 2013 laptop like that is obviously going to make things an issue in the year 2026.
I get that it might be frustrating that you can't buy one computer for the rest of your life but that's just the nature of technology in this day and age, it's an investment- like a car lol.

Well for games, you'd want something with Windows, which I think requires a bit more effort but the results can be very amazing.
Also I think Apple in general is more expensive to invest in and you're getting less in return.
If I have this right, Apple computers are for people who don't really use computers due to how very simplified and closed source it is but not everyone is willing to wrestle with PC's or even Linux, but you're getting somewhat less specs and freedom.
Also for gaming, I don't really bother with laptops because they're either harder or impossible to upgrade, which upgrading a Desktop PC is far cheaper than buying a new one.
Desktops are more cost effective, it's just not portable lol, but worth it.
