Hey Everyone,

I'm catching up on the forum this morning and have decided there isn't NEARLY enough drama going on to REALLY wake me up.

So... Let's kick up our heels and make a little ruckus of our own!

What are the most dramatic things that have happened to you lately? You can be as serious (feel free to ask for prayer if needed,) or silly as you want.

In the Days of Our Lives (Seoulsearch Edition):

1. My sibling's dog lost a toenail. I didn't catch the story on how -- but my Mom is extremely worried it won't grow back. Is it possible for a dog to get a toenail transplant?!

2. I have a rose plant I bought last year at half price, and while it was beautiful the rest of that summer, it wasn't doing so hot this year, so I figured I'd chuck it as soon as it got cold.

However, it must have heard my diabolical plan, because in the past few weeks, it's been bursting with new leaves and even a few roses. It's as if the poor thing is trying to say, "I'll be good, I'll be good!! Don't give up on me yet!" Argh. That's one more plant I have to find space for indoors over winter!

3. Some CC friends and I in the "Blue Sky" phase of trying to plan a get-together, which will hopefully include whales, sharks, and staying at a castle Bed and Breakfast.

Theoretically, the whales and sharks will be separate from the castle.

But maybe I should bring diving gear -- just in case? (You never know what might be lurking in the moat.)

How about you?

What are the most dramatic/noteworthy things that's happened to you or in your circle these past few weeks?

And, if you'd like, tag someone(s) at the end of your post.

I'm tagging @Churchgoer, @dkontner, and @Bible_Locket. 😆

Because if you tag someone, they're automatically "IT" -- until they tag someone else -- and NOBODY likes being "IT."

I can't think of anything more dramatic than that!!😁😆

Let's boot it up a notch and wake up the forum!! :p

We could always just do a generic drama generator.

Hey seoulsearch. Insult!

Then you reply, counter insult!

Then I reply, counter counter insult!

Then you reply, riposte!

Then I reply, parry!

A Generic Insult Machine?!!

Where do we get one of these?! 🤣

I mean, maybe it'll at least come up with some new ones rather than the old same-old, same-old we always see flung around the forum.

It's worth a shot!! 😁

I'm in!!

@Lovette

Look!!!

We're not talking about dating, promise!!

Aren't you proud of us?! 😁

Why don't you come on over and join the conversation?

You mentioned things like wanting to talk about AI and critical thinking...

What's something interesting you've read or learned this week about some of the topics you're interested in? :)

Random thought.

@dkontner may or may not be a bad influence...

Someone in our keep-in-touch group mentioned eating pop tarts, and I almost said, out of habit, "Pop tarts have not been very good to me." 😩

I'm finding myself almost saying this in a lot of other situations as well, like when my Mom said something about a sale on chips and I nearly said, "Potato chips have been very, very good to me!" 😃

(Well... not really. But they sure are good to my taste buds.)

I was struggling last summer. I thought I might get a Harley Freewheeler and travel west, maybe Montana. There are Christian biker groups...

I moved in with my sister and shortly after I got Shingles (last October). I haven't fully recovered and don't know that I will. You see, it forced me to go to the doctors. I don't do doctors. It appears I have an elevated PSA. The scheduled a biopsy. I canceled it. I'm in the Lord's hands.

The Lord has been very, very good to me. I could never repay Him. I'd die before I deny Him.

I'm a blessed man. I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand.

I request nothing but the Lord's will be done.

There are times, daily, that I feel like I can reach right and touch Him. He's amazing! God bless everyone.

Isaiah 43
11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

Isaiah 45
23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Isaiah 55
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

I was in a Lutheran church where the pastor was a biker, and I thought it was cool because every now and then, they'd have a Sunday that included "The Blessing of the Bikes" (and their riders.)

I am so sorry to hear about your case of the shingles -- I pray you make a full recovery! Thank you for sharing your story because I was on the fence about getting the shingles shots. But your story and others have convinced me.

I can only speak for myself, but this is something that I need to hear from other Christians -- their own personal walk with God and how it has ebbed, flowed, and changed over the years. I'm in a stage now where I have to trust God in ways I haven't before, and it's much more reassuring to talk to those who've already been there.

I'm very sorry to hear about your elevated PSA. 😢We will pray with you that the Lord's will be done. 🙏🏼

And thank you for blessing us here with your presence! :) 💐

Oh, I could definitely contribute to the drama department.
Let’s just say there’s been enough plot development lately to qualify for a low-budget soap opera.
I am still waiting to find out whether this season is going to end with a happy ending or a cliffhanger.

You left out the midget wrestling!!!

I mean.. That was the whole point of planning this!!! 🤷😆

Someone once said, "What happens at a meetup, stays at the meetup."

I guess not. 😲 🤫 😲🤣

(For anyone who hasn't read about this before, we were once in an area that had a lot of ads for "Midget Wrestling."

Jokes ranged from whether I should apply for a job to the fact that this would be the ONLY event in which I have a chance at being placed into the "Tall" division!

In our experience, low-budge soap operas produce some of the very best stories! :D

Feel free to share the latest episode any time! :)
