The word believe is a mistranslation.
That should have been taught to you in your first day of Bible class.
In 2 Cor. 8, 9, Paul concluded, you prove the genuineness of Gods Spirit in you by the way you give.
To the Corinthians, if you have the Spirit of Christ, you have the mind of Christ.
You can't have the mind of Christ, if it doesn't make you want to give.
You keep saying that. Yet you also say that English doesn't have a verb from the noun "faith." When translating from one language to another, it cannot always be a word-for-word translation. Was it you that suggested making up a verb in Engish, "faithing"? The trouble with that is that you would need to explain to English speakers what it meant, because "faithing" isn't a word in English.
Pisteuo needs at least two English sentences to communicate that one Greek word sufficiently.
Those two sentences are a personal surrender to Him and, a life inspired by such surrender. TheVines Greek dictionary.
The Strongs gives reliance upon, commit unto, be committed unto.
My gifted Bible teacher is the one who coined the words faithe, faither, and faithing. Those are the words the translators should have had available to them.
When they chose "believe" attempting that one word translation , they inadvertently started that wide path understanding Jesus warned us about.

The original meaning for the word " church "is the Lords. The church is a people who trust their lives to the Lord.
When you put an offering on the altar and turn loose of it, you have "sainted it"!
Thats where the word comes from, it's not perfection, it's commitment posture.
We become a saint, in terms of possession, not performance.
"Sainthood", is position or the relationship of being possessed.
Spirituality, leads to cross bearing, not cross bearing leading to Spirituality.
Christianity, gets tougher, not easier.
Without the resurrection fact, there is no Christianity.
But Strong's doesn't only give "reliance upon, commit unto, be committed unto." The entry says:

From G4102; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), that is, credit; by implication to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well being to Christ): - believe (-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with."
So Strong's includes "believe."
You say that the translators should have had he words faithe, faither, and faithing available to them. They didn't, and nor do we, because those words do not exist in English.
Not criticising, but I think you meant "To the Philippians," though I am sure Christians in the Philippines value that verse too.

The Strongs says the word " believe " when it gives the disclaimer.
Strongs says exactly , first line right out of the gate. " PISTEUO MEANS NOT JUST TO BELIEVE. "
Well, I copied and pasted the entry from Strong's, and those words "Pisteuo means not just to believe" are not there. Even if they were there, Strong's does not say that pisteuo does not mean "to believe," and you claim that it doesn't, and that translators are wrong to translate it that way.
ABCs of faith, and act, based upon a belief, sustained by confidence.
1) The act, a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender.
2) based upon a belief, that God will accept the surrendered life.
3) sustained by confidence, that all the many daily decisions we make support the fact that we really do consider our l lives to be His now , and not ours anymore.
So belief is a small part of faith, but not in the way the wide path thinks.
Knowing anything about the caller isn't a prerequisite to fulfill faith and faithing.
